We’ve been a little quieter on here over the summer while everyone takes a well-earned break — but apparently we can’t completely switch off from education! 😂

While exploring Corfu, we stumbled across this incredible old school building. Even on holiday, we somehow manage to find a school! 🏫🇬🇷

It got us thinking about all the different places, experiences and adventures where learning happens — often without us even realising it.

We hope all our Go Fish students, families, staff and friends are having a brilliant summer. ☀️

What a year it has been.

This year we’ve celebrated qualifications, awards, first days back in education, 100% attendance, friendships, confidence, resilience and countless moments that may have seemed small to others but meant everything to the young people who achieved them.

Every student who walked through our doors had their own story. Watching them grow in confidence, discover their strengths and begin to believe in themselves again has been our greatest privilege.

To our incredible students – thank you for your courage.

To our families – thank you for your trust.

To the schools, Local Authorities and professionals we work alongside – thank you for your partnership.

And to our amazing Go Fish team – thank you for bringing compassion, dedication and unwavering belief to every single day. You make extraordinary things happen.

Together, we’ve changed lives, one young person at a time.

We are incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved this year and even more excited about what lies ahead.

Today is all about celebrating our incredible young people — their journeys, their courage, their creativity, their progress and everything they have achieved this year.

Every report, every piece of work and every achievement tells a story. Some journeys have involved huge leaps forward, while others have been built on small but incredibly significant steps — and every single one deserves to be celebrated.

We are so proud of our students and can’t wait to share this special day with the people who have supported and believed in them along the way.

Today, we celebrate them. 🐟💛💙

💙 Our Final Week of Term 💙

And somehow… we’ve reached our final week of the academic year.

What a year it has been.

A year of brave first steps. Of doors walked through that once felt impossible to enter. Of pens picked up again after months — sometimes years — away from learning. Of exams sat, friendships formed, confidence rebuilt and laughter returning.

At Go Fish, we know that progress doesn’t always look like a grade on a piece of paper.

Sometimes progress is simply getting out of the car.

Walking through the door.

Staying for five minutes longer than last time.

Trusting a new adult.

Sitting alongside another young person.

Trying again after believing you couldn’t.

And sometimes, those are the greatest achievements of all. 💙

This week, we celebrate every single one of our young people — not just for what they have achieved, but for the courage it took to get there.

To our families: thank you for trusting us with the people who matter most to you. We know the journey to Go Fish is rarely a straightforward one, and we never take that trust for granted.

To our incredible team: thank you for seeing beyond behaviour, beyond barriers and beyond what a young person can do today — and believing in what might be possible tomorrow.

And to our young people: you are the reason we do this. Every small step matters. Every breakthrough matters. Every time you showed up, tried again or allowed someone to believe in you mattered.

We couldn’t be prouder of you.

As we head into our final week, we do so with full hearts and enormous gratitude for everything this year has brought.

One final week. So many journeys. So much to celebrate. And so much still to come. 💙🐟✨

Over the past few weeks we've had the privilege of meeting some truly exceptional people. Following one of our most successful recruitment campaigns to date, we're delighted to welcome a number of outstanding professionals to the Go Fish team this September.

Every appointment has been made with one purpose in mind: giving our young people the very best chance to thrive.

Our new team brings an incredible breadth of experience from education, SEND, healthcare, safeguarding, wellbeing and Alternative Provision, alongside a shared belief that relationships come first and every young person deserves an education built around them.

Some of the additional expertise joining Go Fish includes:

⭐ Level 7 Dyslexia Specialist
⭐ Advanced Drawing and Talking Practitioner
⭐ Experienced SENDCos, Deputy Headteachers and Senior Leaders
⭐ Alternative Provision specialists with extensive experience supporting young people with EBSA, autism, ADHD, trauma and SEMH
⭐ Healthcare professionals bringing over two decades of NHS leadership and wellbeing experience
⭐ Creative practitioners who use project-based learning to rebuild confidence and engagement
⭐ Functional Skills specialists
⭐ A passionate new generation of mentors bringing energy, empathy and fresh ideas

What excited us most throughout the recruitment process wasn't just the qualifications—it was the compassion, creativity and unwavering belief that every child can succeed when they feel safe, understood and valued. Many of our new colleagues have dedicated their careers to supporting children who haven't found success in traditional education and share our commitment to doing things differently.

As Go Fish enters its tenth year, we're investing in people, specialist knowledge and leadership so we can continue to offer an exceptional, personalised provision for the young people and families who place their trust in us.

We can't wait to introduce each member of the team and share the experience, passion and personality they'll be bringing to Go Fish.

💙 A little milestone worth celebrating…

Last week, JS joined Go Fish after almost three years with no (or very little) education.

It’s fair to say he was nervous - starting somewhere new after such a long time away from learning takes enormous courage.

Fast forward just a few days, and he’s embracing each day with a smile, building trusting relationships and looking completely at home in our famous swingy chair! 💙

At Go Fish, we know that before learning comes trust, belonging and feeling safe. Academic progress will come, but seeing a young person walk through the door with growing confidence is the biggest success of all.

We’re so proud of you, JS. Here’s to many more milestones ahead. ⭐

🏆 We didn’t bring home an award… but we definitely brought home the best dance moves! 💃🕺😂

Four national finalists, one incredible evening, lots of laughter and just enough questionable dancing to keep everyone entertained!

We’re unbelievably proud of Anna, Laura, Tracey and Dylan. While there wasn’t any silverware for Team Go Fish this year, our team are winners every single day to the children, young people and families they support—and that’s the award that matters most. 💙💛
