When will my baby walk?

The short answer is when they are ready! Babies generally have their own timetables that can't be rushed.

Some babies walk as early as 8 months and others as late as 2 years, however most take their first steps towards the end of their first year.

Premature babies generally walk later than full term babies of the same age because this skill is usually achieved at the age they would have been, had they been born at term and sometimes later.

If your baby isn't yet walking and you are concerned, talk to your health visitor who will likely be able to reassure you.

The final numbers are in and we cannot believe it. This year our Baby Sensory & Toddler Sense families have collectively raised £518,303 for Tommy's charity

We have blown away by everyone getting involved, from your Baby Sensory practitioners wearing pineapples to the tropical shirts we have seen on you parents and babies!

That money could fund Tommy’s pregnancy information and support service for over a year. Providing free expert advice, support and reassurance to thousands of people planning for or worried about pregnancy. Including vital support through complications and baby loss and the free helpline service run by Tommy’s midwives.

If you made it to our Father’s Day special yesterday we hope you had a fantastic time. We’d love to see some of your photos if you have them but importantly we hope you made some special memories to keep forever.

Last call for the few remaining spaces for our Father’s Day Special tomorrow at Wimborne Community Centre - previously Community Learning & Resource Centre.

Baby Sensory would love to invite any Dad's to come along with their babies and enjoy some wonderful activities together. We will be making Baby Aeroplanes, getting the car washed, doing some DIY and playing with drums, parachutes and bubbles.

Sessions will be running at:

10:00am - 11:00am (Last Few Spaces Available)

11:30am - 12:30pm (FULLY BOOKED)

Both classes are suitable for all babies between 0-13months.

The sessions are open to anyone and everyone, current Baby Sensory customers or not.
