Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me why I do this.
I got to co-deliver a 3 hour CPD session alongside the brilliant Julia Armstrong from Your Nature Counselling, with a room full of Dorset based counsellors who genuinely wanted to learn how to show up better for Q***r clients.
I love doing things like this.
A lot of LGBTQIA+ people don't access support not because it isn't available, but because they don't feel safe enough to try. They've been misgendered by a Personal Trainer. Dismissed by a therapist. Made to feel like their identity is the problem to be solved rather than the person in front of them.
Making services more inclusive isn't complicated. It starts with people being willing to learn. And yesterday that room was full of them.
Thank you Julia, and thank you to everyone who came ready to listen. You were brilliant.

April works in event management, she's always on the go, always travelling, and the last thing she needed was a coach telling her to meal prep on a Sunday and cut out the things she enjoys.
So I didn't.
We check in every week, work around whatever life throws at her, and build her sessions around her, not some generic plan.
3 months in π
19lbs down βοΈ
Confidence through the roofπ
And the weight on the barbell goes up every single week πββοΈ
No dramatic overhaul. No off-limits foods. Just consistency and a plan that actually fits her life.
If you've ever felt like getting in shape meant giving everything up, it doesn't have to be that way.

Yes I'm walking to the food festival. Progress isn't about avoiding things. It's about what you do before, during, and after. Also I wanted cheese π§

Today, Rowan stepped onto the gym floor at Fortis Gym for the very first kids' introduction to strongman and absolutely smashed it.
Sandbags. β
Kegs. β
Floor to press. β
How to brace and prepare for a lift. β
Cheering on every single person in the room. β
Helping pack away at the end. β
Incredible first session watching kids work alongside adults, get coached, get cheered on, and leave with a fire that wasn't there before π₯

Juggling the NHS, family life, and still pulling stronger every session. That's Emma. Close grip pulldowns aren't complicated: control the weight, own the tempo, and the results follow.
