As we come to the end of a wonderful term, we would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

We have loved sharing so many special moments with the children, and it has been a joy to see them grow, learn, and celebrate the festive season together. Christmas at the nursery has been full of smiles, creativity, and excitement.

All of us at The Orchard would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope you enjoy a relaxing and joyful holiday together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.

We close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and re-open for all children on Monday 5th January 2026.

If your child is going to school in September 2026, please see the information below.

Christ the King School will be holding Open Tours from Monday 6th October to Friday 10th October. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore their facilities, meet staff, and gain a real sense of the school community.

If you would like to attend, please book an appointment by phoning the school directly on 01202 574277.

We know Christ the King would be delighted to share all that they have to offer, and we look forward to welcoming you to our neighbouring school.

Our Family Fun Day is fast approaching.......it's this SATURDAY!!

If the weather is unkind to us we will be holding the Fun Day in Christ the King School hall. The entrance will be signposted.

We have a card machine to take payments on the BBQ, so you can pay by cash or card for this stall only. Please remember to bring plenty of change for the other stalls.

We have some amazing raffle prizes this year including lots of family days out and a £50 cash prize.

Please don't forget to bring in some cakes for our cake stall, and we would love some more sweets in a jar and tombola prizes, if at all possible by Friday.

Our School Leavers song will start at 1.30pm followed by a certificate presentation. The raffle will be called just after.

Happy 20th birthday to The Orchard Nursery! 🥳

This is where is all began…..

This week we are so excited to be proudly celebrating 20 years of the Orchard Nursery. Since establishing the nursery in 2005, we’ve spent 2 decades helping children grow and learn, and supporting families.

We have been taking the opportunity of this brilliant milestone to reflect on just how incredibly rewarding it has been to be a part of the lives of 100s of children and their families. We’re so grateful to the families who trust us with their children’s care and development.

Along with our team of wonderful nursery nurses, we’re still as dedicated to providing a homely, nurturing environment where each child can thrive as we were when we welcomed the first children into the nursery in 2005.

The last 20 years has brought with it lots of exciting opportunities, a new garden, 3 canopies, a speech and language room, and a new staff room.

To commemorate this milestone, we have some exciting visitors attending this week. We have Krazy Kev in on Wednesday, Musical story box on Thursday and a disco party on Friday. We also have a cake and many balloons dotted around the nursery.

As we celebrate how far we’ve come, we look forward to the future for The Orchard Nursery and continuing our mission of providing parents with childcare they can trust.
