As we head into autumn we reflect on a summer of projects completed in school over the holidays.
Whilst our teaching staff took a well-earned break, the premise team have been busy, as usual, maintaining and investing in our facilities to continue improving the environment for our students.
This summer, we completed a number of significant projects:
• A full refurbishment of our tired Food Technology room, bringing it up to modern standards, improving energy efficiency and creating a much more suitable teaching and learning space. (Huge thanks to our PSA for your support funding this project)
• The final stage of our Sixth Form developments, upgrading the Sixth Form Study Room and bringing together a suite of modern, fit-for-purpose and more “grown-up” spaces for our Sixth Form students.
• An upgrade of the ladies’ toilets near reception, used by administrative staff and visitors.
• Refurbishment of our high jump, shot put and long jump facilities. As our field is also used by the wider community outside school hours, we have chosen a durable porous tarmac surface.
• Refurbishment of the central areas of our Performing Arts Block.
• A number of smaller minor and refurbishment works.
