My name is Stuart Faulkner - I'm a fun artist and art teacher and a bit of a wacky entertainer. I am offering art classes in Bournemouth and across Dorset. I would like to share some of my artistic glory with you through some very informal relaxed unpretentious not taking themselves too seriously art evenings - the main trick is of course to enjoy it - let your joy shine through, and "celebrate the wonkyness" that might just so happen to pop up along the way!

here is a miniature demo painting i have done as an elaboration on david hockney's "beach umbrella"!

i have taken the swimmer and the pool textures from his swimming pool series - and added a deck chair and a little bit of an isle of white or hengistbury head horizon to it too!

i am extremely satisfied with this tiny picture - and am looking forward to working it up into a bigger painting on friday at Re-imagine

hello everyone !! and welcome to a plethora of october art forgery, craftyness & the most relaxing excitement possible!

this friday we will be painting our own versions of David Hockney's "beach umbrella"! (Re-imagine)

saturday 10th spoon workshop at Boscombe art depot "what emerges exhibition"

this saturday is the closing day of a superb exhibition that i have been delighted to be part of...... over the last year i have been meeting up with the artists in this exhibition a couple of times a month and sharing our work and interests and supporting each other and really getting to know each other - and the work really shines with each of our own personal ways of being and seeing!

sunday 18th of october The Old School House

painting 1920s view of bournemouth as viewed from east cliff zig zag - a lovely painting from the golden age of train travel posters - this will be an utter delight to paint!

thursday 29th of october - bird box making workshop!

something new and exciting and a gift to the wildlife of your garden! - we can decorate the birdboxes and make them the most desirable properties ritemove has ever seen!!!!

then in december (16th) - i am delighted to be doing this winter scene i have painted of southbourne high street for a paint night at Ludo Lounge

a relaxed evening painting to see in the cozy midwinter!

on friday the 22nd of october - i am foing to be running a woodwork class at re:imagine!

woodwork has always been a passion of mine - i used to run woodwork classes at ladywell day centre in london where we made rocking horses and park benches.

i studied luthiering (musical instrument making) at sheffield college 26 years ago - i will share some photos of old projects later - but for the time being - here is a bird box i made this morning - and the house of a scrapwood dovecote birdtable i am just putting together.

Hello! on Wedensday 23rd of September - we'll be doing acrylic painting working on doing our own knock off versions of Leslie Moffat Ward's Dorset Coast / English Idyl painting!

Leslie Moffat Ward was one of the founders of the Bournemouth Arts Society on the 1900's and this painting is currently in the Russel Cotes Museum!

The other photos are from previous classes we have done - no previous experience necessary - i will talk you through the paintings step by step - and ensure you always go home with a masterpiece!

Vote for either Leslie Moffat-Ward Dorset Coast - or Bob Ross' Northern Lights!

The Dorset Landscape painting - by philip leslie moffat ward is in the Russel Coates - leslie m.w. was one of the founders of the Bournemouth arts club in the 1900's - the painting depicts hikers near warbarrow bay - and is dying for personalisation with your friends family and dog to be painted in there!

Bob Ross is t.v.'s most famous painter - a master of fun techniques and catchphrases and a unique gentle energy that he pours into the love of painting - an absolute sweetheart - and this painting too is ripe for personalisation - either by adding ufo's - or your campervan - or even a little Bob in his dream shed!
