Also worth mentioning this! What a fab idea - day trips on the bus is one of our favourite things to do here at present school. So if you decide to travel this August think about taking your little one on the bus for free with morebus and enjoy a bit of sight seeing and fun ☺️ 🐭

From 1st – 31st August 2026 inclusive, the Government is funding free bus travel for children aged 5 -15 on bus routes in England making it cheaper for families to get out and about this summer.

Terms and conditions apply and some bus routes are not included in this scheme.

As another wonderful nursery year comes to an end, it's time for us to say goodbye to some very special little people as they begin their exciting new adventure at school. 💙🎒

Watching each of you grow in confidence, kindness and independence has been such a privilege. From your first days with us to your last, you've filled our nursery with laughter, smiles and unforgettable memories.

Although we'll miss your happy faces every day, we couldn't be prouder of all you've achieved. We know you'll continue to shine brightly, make new friends and embrace every opportunity that comes your way.

To all of our school leavers, we wish you the very best of luck as you start this exciting new chapter. Always believe in yourselves, be kind, be brave, and never stop learning.

We are so excited to celebrate the end of year with you today - just a last-minute reminder that doors will open at 10am for the disco 🪩 & party 🎉 and parents/carers please stay with your child - we look forward to seeing you all boogie-ing together 🥰

Dear Families

What a wonderful last full week of term we’ve had 🥰

Together we’ve been sharing memories & moments, having more picnics & trips over to the church gardens & just enjoying our time together with cuddles & stories & lots of lovely play plus a bouncy castle party to end the week with! 🥰

We were so proud of the school leavers for sports day and the graduation ceremony - it really was a special afternoon and so much fun 🤩

A big thank you to all our families for turning up, cheering, joining in, celebrating, sharing kind words & even providing a brilliant Photo Booth to capture the moments! 🥇 🙌 ❤️ 📸

Our final full day of celebration will be on Monday - it is a usual day for those not able to join us, so drop off from 8.45 am and collect from 2.30 pm - and if you are able to come along we will be having a picnic & games afternoon over at Slades Farm Playground from 12.30 pm. A chance to hang out together whilst the children play freely outdoors as is our favourite way at Mini Mice 🐭 ❤️ 🌳 🛝

Then on Tuesday dust off your dancing shoes for our disco & party in the pre-school hall - parents/carers and children come along to conga, have fun in the foam & play the shoe game 🤣 🪩 🥳 starting at 10 am and finishing at 12.30 pm.

For those that have not seen our party food list, please bring along some fruit/veg sticks, crisps, cakes or biscuits to add to the party table 🎉

ALL are invited to both events and we hope to see as many of you as possible 😁

Tomorrow St Mark’s Church will be hosting ‘Talbot Fest’ starting at 11am and going on to the evening with live music, ‘squidge and pop’ sensory show, makers market, food, drink, raffle, games and lots more! It promises to be a really fun day for families and some of the Mini Mice ladies will be there 😀

Dear Families

Another happy week has passed where we have made the most of our ‘Teddy bears picnic’ theme with lunch outdoors every day 🧺 🧸 ☀️

It’s been lovely sitting together in the shade as a whole group, taking in the surroundings of the beautiful church garden and having a relaxing lunchtime. Quality time together as we edge closer to the end of term 🥰 😢

We also had some opportunities to practice our sports day games, play football penalty shootouts and climb the trees in the church garden, before heading back for ice pops and water play at pre-school 🌳 ⚽️ 🥇

Since next week is our last full week of term 😭 we will continue to picnic & play as much as we can and share happy moments together in the shade.

A reminder that on Wednesday we will have a half day (pick up at 11.45am please) for our non-school leavers so that we can hold our graduation event for our school leavers at St Marks Church in the afternoon. If you are coming along to celebrate with us please meet us in the church garden for a 1.30pm start.

Next week we will be focusing on school readiness with our stories around starting school, and continuing our visits to Talbot and Langside - our recent visits to St Marks have been thoroughly enjoyed by all and we are delighted at how confident the children have been in what will be their new school environments.
