When I look at the FU Cancer range, I see my nan. I see Ben. I see all the people affected by cancer 🎗️

As it’s Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to go back to the start and remind everyone why the FU Cancer range means so much to me and Shaw Golf.

It all started when my nan was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, we lost her, and it was the first time cancer had such a massive impact on our family.

The care she received from the Macmillan Unit was incredible, and that’s where the idea came from. My nan was a huge influence on me, so this has always been about much more than clothing. ❤️

If I’m honest, I feel like I’ve lost my way with it a little over the years. Shaw Golf has grown, but I want to get back to the original roots and values of why we started.

Then came the FU Cancer goalkeeper gloves with South Coast Kits, linked to our friend Ben, who sadly lost his battle with cancer while being cared for by the same unit.

Ben was a massive supporter of mine, came to my lessons and was always wearing the FU Cancer range. Seeing his sister now supporting and wearing the gloves means so much.

The range has grown, but the reason behind it hasn’t changed.

We don’t make money from these products.

The profits are donated back to the Macmillan Unit, alongside supporting other charities that mean a lot to me.

When I look at the FU Cancer range, I see my nan. I see Ben. I see all the people affected by cancer.

That’s why we do it.

But also, a huge thank you for supporting me personally for so many years. From backing what I do to getting involved in some of the mad ideas along the way… including those terrible acting skills when we recreated the Happy Gilmore advert! 😂

I don’t think there’s much evidence of that one left these days, but the outtakes were absolutely fantastic! 😂🎬

You guys do so much for the local area, constantly supporting local people, businesses, teams and causes and it’s genuinely brilliant to see you flying.

‼️ Su***de is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK.

A massive thank you to for showing their support for such an important charity and helping spread the word about Men and their emotions 💚

Seeing this amazing group get behind a message around men’s mental health is something really special. But ultimately, this is about mental health in general.

It’s a reminder that it’s okay to talk. You can talk to anyone. Your mates, your partner, your other half, your brother, your sister, your mum, your dad .. whoever you feel comfortable opening up to 🫶🏽

Sometimes the person who can make the biggest difference isn’t necessarily your closest mate. It could be your partner.

The statistics around men’s su***de show just how important this conversation is. Su***de is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK 💔

That’s why messages like this need to keep being shared.

So to the girls at Poole Town Ladies, thank you for using your platform to help break down the stigma, start conversations and remind people that you are never alone and there is always someone you can talk to. You should all be proud of yourselves.

It genuinely means a lot to me and Daniel O'Reilly to see you all wearing the MATE message with pride. 💚

This is bigger than football. This is about people looking after people.
