We’re officially in our new Play House! 🏡

Since the beginning of September and the start of the new term, this has become our lovely little space — and we couldn’t be happier! 💛

There are still a few little things to finish and some more decorations to add, but the children already absolutely LOVE it… and I think I might love it even more! 😍

This is their room — a place where they can play, explore, create, learn, relax and simply be themselves.

But most importantly… this is where we have lots and lots of FUN! 🥰🎨🧸

Our very own little Miles of Smiles Play House. 💛

Today the children enjoyed a beautiful sensory play activity with rose petals and little rose stems. 🌹

They used different cups, bowls and containers to scoop, pour, mix and create their own wonderful recipes. The children were so excited and proudly told us they had made a “magical potion soup”! 🪄

There was lots of imagination, lovely conversations, exploring textures and smells, and plenty of careful little hands busy creating something special.

A simple activity, but full of creativity, sensory exploration and magic. 🌹

The children enjoy a lovely variety of activities — reading stories, singing songs, building with magnetic blocks, puzzles, sensory play, water play, role play, drawing, mark making, counting, exploring colours and shapes, and lots of outdoor play.

Every activity supports their imagination, communication, confidence, fine motor skills and learning through play.

What a fun day cooling down in the sunshine!

Today the children had so much fun playing outside with the garden sprinkler. Everyone had sun cream on and their hats ready — although at first some little hats kept coming off because the children were far too excited to run, splash and play!

We had lots of giggles, chasing games, happy squeals and water fun. It was such a lovely way to stay cool while enjoying outdoor play together.

A perfect summer day full of laughter, movement and happy little faces!

The children absolutely loved exploring our rice cereal sensory tray! 🤍

We practised emptying, mixing, scooping and pouring using spoons, an ice cream scoop, whisks and different little tools. The children used their imagination in so many ways — making “ice cream”, stirring, filling cups and creating their own little games.

This simple activity supported their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, language and creativity — and most importantly, they had so much fun! 🥄

Sensory play is always a favourite here. 🤍

We enjoyed a lovely baking activity and made our own healthy banana, oat and chia seed cookies.

The children took part in every step — mashing, mixing, scooping and shaping the cookies. Everyone had a turn to press the mixture into the moulds and create their own little cookie shapes. It was a wonderful hands-on activity, full of concentration, teamwork and excitement.

We also explored chia seeds and noticed something very interesting. At first, when we added liquid, the mixture looked quite watery, but after waiting 10–15 minutes, it changed into a gel-like texture. The children were fascinated by this little science moment, and some of the older children very cleverly said that the chia seeds looked like kiwi seeds.

After all our hard work, we enjoyed tasting our homemade cookies together — and they were a big success!

A beautiful activity combining baking, healthy eating, sensory exploration, early science and lots of fun.

Today, the children explored the wonderful world of plants.

We talked about what plants need to grow healthy and strong — sunshine, water, soil and lots of care. The children explored different natural materials, touching, sorting and using them in their play.

Afterwards, we planted our flowers, watered them carefully, and now we are looking after them every day with lots of excitement and love.
A lovely hands-on activity encouraging curiosity, responsibility and a love for nature. 💚
