📣 Results of the vote were as follows;

Proposal A to keep the TTA and restructure the leadership and form a new constitution: 25

Proposal B to disband the TTA and begin the process of starting a new professional body: 18

We thank everyone for their ongoing support and we will meet again in August to form a working group to rewrite the constitution and decide on leadership titles and office bearer roles to be voted in prior to the Interim Board concluding their 90 days- Monday 13th September.

We'd like to encourage all Technical Teachers to join the TTA, follow our social media and get involved in our improvement process 🛠🗜💻

A new EGM vote has been issued to all members due to the initial 50/50 split result. Based on feedback from members, the Interim Board are facilitating, counting and verifying the vote using a secure polling system.

We encourage all Technical Teachers to join the discussion and have your voice heard, particularly during such an important time in education and for our subject area!!

Only those who have paid the £1 membership fee will have voting rights for the new EGM vote. You can still join and gain voting rights until 5pm on Wednesday 1st July 2026.

The vote closes on Thursday 2nd July at 11.59pm with the result shared on Friday 3rd July.

Thank you to all members who attended the meeting yesterday evening to discuss the outcome of the EGM vote.

Minutes of the meeting will be shared with all members in due course.

Polling information will be sent out to all members as per the agreed next steps.
This will be via your membership email, linked to your paypal account. We will notify members when this has been sent via our social media channels as well as your email.

As before, new members are welcome and we encourage as many Technical teachers to pay the £1 membership fee and they will then be eligible to vote in any upcoming polls, as long as registration has been completed by 5pm the day prior to any poll concluding.
