A little look at some of the orders I’ve been working on recently 💙

Every order is made, printed, laminated and put together by me, ready to support children and families with communication, transitions, emotional regulation and new experiences.

I never expected so many people to trust my resources, so thank you for every order, share, comment and recommendation. It genuinely means so much to a small business like mine 🥹

For many children, the summer holidays fly by and then suddenly September arrives.

A new classroom, a new teacher, a new school, or even a completely new routine can feel exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming.

My transition card sets are designed to help children understand what to expect before the change happens. By breaking experiences down into simple, visual steps, they can help reduce anxiety and build confidence.

Available for:
🎒 Starting School
📚 Moving Class
🏫 Starting Secondary School

£8 each or any 2 for £12

If you’d like to order a set or have any questions, please send me a message. 💙

💙 COMING TONIGHT 💙

I’ve had so many messages recently from parents and schools looking for support around some of the biggest transitions children face.

So I’ve been working on something new…

✨ Starting School
✨ Moving Class
✨ Transitioning to Secondary School

These visual support cards are designed to help children understand what is happening, reduce anxiety around change, and feel more prepared for the next step in their journey.

Whether your child is excited, worried, or somewhere in between, having clear visual supports can make a real difference.

Keep an eye on the page tonight for the full reveal 👀

Which transition is your family preparing for this year?

I’ve been busy making another batch of transition cards today! 💙

These have become one of my most popular resources and are designed to help children understand and prepare for upcoming changes.

Whether it’s moving class, starting a new school, meeting a new teacher, or any other big life event, visual supports can help make transitions feel more predictable and less overwhelming.

Each set is handmade and can be backed on a colour of your choice. 🌈

With September approaching, now is a great time to get organised and start preparing children for the changes ahead.

Message me for more information or to place an order. 📩

📚 Transition visits are starting, and for many children that can bring a mix of excitement, uncertainty and big feelings.

As a SENDCo, one of the questions I’m asked most often is how parents can help prepare their child for a new classroom, teacher or school.

I’ve put together 5 simple strategies that can make a real difference before transition visits begin.

✨ Talk positively about the change
✨ Look at photos together
✨ Practise new routines
✨ Connect with other families
✨ Be kind to yourself

Remember, there isn’t a “perfect” transition. Small steps, reassurance and familiarity can go a long way.

Which tip do you find most helpful? Or is there something that has worked well for your child? 👇

As many of you know, I’ll be starting a new role in September, and one of the things I’m really keen to develop is my use of British Sign Language (BSL).

I’ve been busy creating resources ready for my new classroom, and this little avatar has even been designed to look like me! My hope is that it will help me learn, practise and remember key signs, while also creating resources that can support communication for the children I’ll be working with.

It’s definitely a learning journey, but I’m excited to keep building my skills and making my classroom as inclusive as possible. 💙🤟

I’d love to hear from anyone else learning BSL. What signs do you think are the most useful to start with?

✨ New Resource Alert ✨

As we head towards transition season, I’ve created a new booklet to help children prepare for moving classes.

For some children, a change of classroom, teacher, routine, or environment can feel overwhelming. Having the opportunity to explore these changes beforehand can help build confidence and reduce anxiety.

The booklet includes space to learn about new adults, classrooms, routines, friends, and anything else that will help make September feel more familiar.

As both a SEND Specialist Teacher and parent, I know that preparation can make such a difference.

If you’d like more information, feel free to send me a message. 💙

I’m starting to look ahead and would love to attend more school summer fairs, village events, community days and local craft fairs across Lincolnshire.

Family First SEND Support offers a range of SEND resources, communication supports, visual aids, first experience cards and parent resources, and I’d love the opportunity to share them with more families.

If you’re involved in organising an event, or know of one looking for stallholders, please get in touch or tag them below.

I’d be so grateful for any recommendations ❤️

I’m really pleased to have finished another Voice Book Plus. 💙

📖 Key words
😊 Feelings
🙋 Questions
🏫 School
🌦️ Weather

Whether used at home, in school or out and about, the aim is simple: to give children a practical way to express themselves and be understood.
