An unexpected opportunity to meet the crew from the air ambulance today! The children had the opportunity to see the air ambulance and ask questions. The staff were very knowledgeable and inspirational, supporting community engagement and high aspirations!🚁

🍓🍌🍏 Tintern have been learning all about superfoods this term! They had a fantastic time in their DT lessons designing and making their very own fruit salads! 🍎🍇🫐
They have discovered where different fruits come from in the world, designed their own fruit salads, practised their cutting skills safely using child-friendly knives and finally (of course) tasted their creations!
🌟 Well done, Year 1 – super chefs in the making!

Look at these amazing photos from Fountains and Lindisfarne's Stone Age WOW day!🦣 A day full of engaging and exciting activities, as well as dressing up, to hook the children into their learning!

They made teeth and bones to go on necklaces/bracelets, drew cave pictures using charcoals, made silhouette pictures of Stonehenge, rolled oats to make flour and made paper woolly mammoths! A fantastic day which really brought their topic to life! 🦴

Lots of fun, hands on learning through a practical science experiment in Crowland class today! The children acted as scientists in teams to test a range of materials for different purposes using our key vocabulary such as ‘waterproof’, ‘transparent’ and ‘rigid’. The children then recorded their findings and decided which materials were more suitable for certain purposes. Well done to our little scientists in the making!🧑‍🔬
