This week, we have begun to explore the poem The Malfeasance by Alan Bold.
Working in groups, the children created freeze frames of key moments from the poem, carefully considering the thoughts, feelings and actions of both the Malfeasance and the people of the city. They showed fantastic teamwork and thoughtful inference skills as they explored themes of fear, prejudice, kindness and acceptance.
We were particularly impressed by the mature discussions about the dangers of judging others by their appearance and the power of kindness in changing perceptions.

Take a look at some of the fantastic freeze frames below! ⭐📚

Foxes Class have been busy developing their Design and Technology skills by creating linkages for their very own moving monsters! 👾The children designed and made mechanisms to bring their monsters to life. We were so impressed with their creativity, problem solving and perseverance throughout the project. ⭐🦊
The next exciting step will be decorating their moving monsters and adding lots of character to their creations. We can't wait to see the finished results!
