Little Acorns provide a calming, safe and secure space for children. Our aim is to provide stimulating, challenging environments which is a home away from home. We believe that every child is unique, and we aim to foster their own learning process. We will teach children HOW to think NOT what to think. We believe in raising confident capable learners that are rounded individuals ready for the next stage of learning. The babies enjoyed an insect tray with different bugs and magnifying glasses to explore. We looked at the different bugs and leaves and felt the texture of the soil where the babies enjoyed the sensory feel. The children babbled throughout and spent an long time investigating!

The babies have been enjoying ball games recently so while outside we played with the balls to roll down the tube. The children enjoyed looking at the different balls, shaking them to hear the different noises they all made. We used language like "ready, set, go!" and took turns releasing the balls. Well done babies!

During the half term we've been exploring different natural materials and what little creatures might be hiding within it. The children have all enjoyed using their fine motor skills and catching the creatures with pincers, putting these into containers and exploring what different creatures they are. Exploring what different colours they have and identifying the creatures, What a wonderful job they all did!
