We are already incredibly proud of every single one of you for putting yourselves forward and having the confidence to audition.
Today isn’t about being perfect — it’s about showing us what you can do, giving everything your very best shot and, most importantly, enjoying the experience! ❤️
Dance your hearts out, perform with confidence, listen carefully, support one another and let your personalities shine. 🌟

🎭 The Accusation…
“One of you believes the other has stolen something valuable. The other insists they’re innocent.”
That was the only information our senior Speech & Drama students were given before being asked to work in pairs and create a freeze frame of the scene.
And just look at how differently they interpreted it! 👀
The same scenario resulted in completely different choices of facial expression, body language, positioning, character and reaction. Some went straight for confrontation, some became defensive, some suspicious, some outraged… and a few apparently turned it into a full criminal investigation. 😂
That’s exactly what we love about exercises like this. There isn’t one “correct” way to portray a character or situation. Acting is about making choices, committing to them and communicating a story to your audience — even when you’re not allowed to say a single word.

We’re really enjoying our first week back at classes! 🥰

It’s been a very busy few days getting back into the swing of everything, seeing all of our dancers again and settling into a brand new term. 💃✨

Here’s a little glimpse of our Star Glow class last night, working on one of their pick-up exercises in Tap. 👞🎶

There’s lots to think about here — coordinating their feet and arms, keeping perfect time with the music and, of course, remembering to present and perform throughout!

Lots of concentration, lots of tapping… and a great start to the new term! ❤️

🎶 From industrial kitchen… to JCADA Music Room! 🎶

We’ve been desperate to share this transformation with you properly, because when you see where this room started, it’s quite hard to believe it’s the same space! 😍

When we first took over The Ridlington, this area was a fully functioning industrial kitchen — complete with stainless-steel worktops, enormous extraction system, catering equipment and even a service lift!

We had a slightly different vision for it… 😂
Fast forward a few months and it has been completely transformed into our brand new dedicated music and singing space at JCADA. 🎶

A warm, welcoming room where our singers can work one-to-one with Miss Debi and Miss Clare, build their confidence, develop their voices and hopefully make lots of very special memories along the way. 💜

We wanted it to feel grown-up and professional, but still have those little touches that make it unmistakably JCADA.

And obviously, no JCADA room would be complete without a little involvement from our four-legged family… 🐾💜

🩰💜 What a wonderful first night back in our Ballet classes!
It was so lovely to have the studio full of dancers again, getting back to the barre and starting another exciting term together.
Monday evenings at JCADA are dedicated to Ballet, with separate classes from Grade 1 right through to Grade 6, including Pointe Work for our more advanced dancers. 🩰
Having dedicated classes at each level means every dancer can train at a level suited to their age, ability and stage of development, with the time and attention they need to progress, build confidence and really shine. ✨
There really is nothing quite like seeing our beautiful studio full of purple leotards. 💜
And can we just keep the Open Day balloon arch forever please?! 😂🎈 We’ve become rather attached to it…

✨ OPEN DAY 2026 ✨

What an amazing day! 💜

The studio was absolutely buzzing from start to finish and it was so lovely to welcome so many of our existing JCADA families, as well as lots of new faces coming through the gates to have a look around, join in with our workshops and see what JCADA is all about.

We hope everyone who joined us for one of our workshops had a brilliant time! With so much going on throughout the day — and lots of workshops to teach — I know there were some of you I didn’t get the chance to speak to personally. If you have any questions about classes, free trials or anything else JCADA, please do drop me a message through our page or get in touch using the contact form on our website. 💜

A day like this definitely doesn’t happen without a lot of people helping behind the scenes, so we have some very important thank yous to make! 🥰

🎨 A huge thank you to Dovile from DS Face & Body Art for the fabulous face painting and glitter tattoos.

💇‍♀️ Thank you to Crowned by Kim for creating some gorgeous braids throughout the day.

🍭 Thank you to Helen, the Candy Floss Queen, for keeping everyone supplied with delicious candy floss and very kindly doing so for donations.

🧁 A massive thank you to Miss Alison, Ameera and Maicey, who not only ran our very busy bake sale but were also the friendly faces welcoming everyone through the gates!

🎈 Thank you to Mrs Passant and Evie for holding the fort in our fundraising hut and making sure our younger visitors left with a balloon!

🏆 Thank you to Mrs Mallett for looking after our certificates, medals and awards area and helping so many of our dancers celebrate their achievements.

☕️ Thank you to Mr Jim and Mrs Holland for keeping reception running, drinks flowing and generally maintaining some sort of order amongst the chaos! 😂

We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor to JCADA and really appreciated him taking the time to come along and visit us on such a special day. 💜

And finally, the biggest thank you to every single person who came through our gates on Saturday. Whether you’re already part of our JCADA family or you were visiting us for the very first time, thank you for coming along, joining in, supporting us and making our Open Day such a fantastic one.

Our classes are filling up incredibly quickly for the new term, with several already operating waiting lists, so if you’re thinking about joining us, please do get in touch as soon as possible and we can let you know what spaces are currently available.

✨ WHAT A DAY! ✨

We have SO many amazing photos to share with you from our JCADA Open Day, but firstly we have to say a huge thank you to Tiffany May's Creations for creating these incredible balloon displays for us! 🎈💜

Tiffany stepped in at very short notice and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our big day. She even came along on Friday evening to set everything up ready for Saturday morning — and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful.

The balloon arches and displays looked absolutely incredible and created the perfect welcome for everyone arriving at The Ridlington Studio. They really helped bring our Open Day vision to life! ✨

Thank you so much Tiffany for your hard work, creativity and dedication — we absolutely love them! 💜

Little Peyton is VERY prepared for her First Adventure — her new ballet shoes have arrived, and when she tried them on she even stood with her feet in first position! 🥹🩰 We think that's definitely a sign we've got a little dancer on our hands! 💜

Our Monday class launches on 28th September, but since announcing First Adventures we've had quite a few people tell us that Fridays would work better for them.

So… we're gathering interest! 👀🌈

If we have enough little adventurers who would like to join us, we're looking at adding a Friday 10:00–10:45am class, starting Friday 2nd October.

First Adventures is our parent & toddler movement adventure for ages 2–4, introducing little ones to movement, music, coordination, body awareness and creativity alongside their grown-up. 💜
