🎾 Enrichment Afternoon at Padel People Boston!

Last Wednesday, our Sport learners enjoyed an exciting enrichment afternoon at Padel People Boston, where they were introduced to the sport through a quick crash-course induction before taking to the courts for an hour of play! 🙌

Our learners represented the college brilliantly throughout, and it’s fantastic to see that some have already returned to play again, making the most of the opportunity and community connection! 👏

We’re hoping to make this a regular, once-a-term activity to reward our learners for their continued hard work, positive attitude and all-round brilliance.

Here’s a quick reminder ahead of the big day:
👨‍🎓 Arrival time: Please arrive at the Sam Newsom Centre between 12:45pm and 1:00pm, ready to process to St Botolph’s Church.

👠 A little tip: Planning to wear heels? Just a little heads-up that there are some cobbled streets along the way, so take care as you make your way to the Church!

Our team will be there to welcome you, help you get ready and answer any questions. We can’t wait to celebrate your achievements with you! 🎉🙌

This week our students have been getting stuck into another exciting wildlife project at our Rochford Campus as part of our partnership with Froglife! 🐸

This time, our students got involved in digging a new pond, which is now complete and ready for local wildlife to enjoy. 💧🌱

Ponds provide valuable habitats for frogs, toads, newts, and a variety of other wildlife, helping to support biodiversity and create a thriving environment for nature.

It was fantastic to see our students getting hands-on, developing new skills, and making a positive difference to the local environment. We can’t wait to see the pond flourish and discover the wildlife it will attract! 🐸💚

To mark Cadet Week last week, we’re highlighting a fantastic visit from Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Sara Munton, who spoke to over 50 UPS Further and Higher Education learners about her career journey and the important role she plays.

Pictured is one of our UPS Level 3 learners, who is also a member of Lincolnshire Police Cadets - a great example of young people engaging with their community and exploring future career opportunities in policing.
