Ok, it's quite a few weeks away yet, but it's never too early to put the school Christmas Fayre in your diary!

Florrie has been with us nearly 8 months and she’s grown a lot! She’s no longer that tiny little puppy that started with us back in February.

She’s been busy training, working one to one with a small number of students, as well as getting used to being around the corridors, popping into assemblies and representing the school at open evenings.

Today was the start of our Lunch time ‘Florrie Club’. Year 8 volunteers are spending time with her at lunch, playing frisbee and learning that she’ll do anything for a treat!

Congratulation Antonis!

Antonis recently competed in the County Championships, where he played against the top junior squash players in the county and won every single match to become the U13 County Champion.

Antonis has been dedicated to squash from a very young age, competing at both county and national levels since he was just 7 years old. Over the years, he has built a strong record of success through consistent hard work and determination. In addition to being an integral member of the Lincolnshire County Squad, Antonis was selected for the East Midlands Aspire Squash Programme, representing the East Midlands region in national Aspire competitions against the best young talent in the country.

Huge congratulations to everyone at BGS who has contributed to achieving an overall attendance rate exceeding 96%!

To be recognised among the top 10% of schools nationally for attendance is an outstanding achievement and reflects the collective efforts of our students, families, teaching staff and support teams.

We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved through a shared commitment to ensuring every student is in school, every day, ready to learn and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this success. Let's continue working together to build on this achievement and provide the very best opportunities for our young people.

Congratulations to our Year 13 Economics and Business project winners!

Over the course of Year 12, our Economics students take part in the Island Project, where they create and develop their own island economy. Students apply the economic theories studied in lessons to make decisions about resources, taxation, trade, population, government policies and economic growth, bringing the subject to life through creativity and real-world application. The winning team was awarded a £150 Group Activity Voucher!

Our Business students complete the Empty Shop Project, investigating vacant properties on Boston High Street and identifying the most suitable business for the local area. Through market research, analysis of local needs and evaluation of potential opportunities, students develop a proposal to help revitalise the high street. The top prize winner received a Bowling and Darts Activity Experience, while the runners-up won a Coffee and Cake Voucher!

To celebrate their achievements, all of our winners were also presented with crowns in assembly today. Thankfully, the school stepped in before the winners could rename Boston and put themselves on the banknotes!
A huge well done to all students involved. The quality of work this year was outstanding, and these projects are a fantastic example of students applying their classroom learning to the real world.
