Sarah and I would like to wish everyone all the very best for the start of the new term.

It will be very strange not welcoming you all back through the school gates and taking our usual back to school photos, but we know you will all go off with a skip in your step looking forwards to your new adventures…

Stay true to yourselves, be kind and remember, Believe, Achieve and you will always Succeed.

💚💚 We can't end our page without mentioning the immense and very welcome role that our PTA (Friends of St George's Prep)has played in the life of our school. Over the years they have fund raised to provide lots of very welcome extras for the children, for example, classroom resources, Christmas parties, a giant inflatable and of course, our minibuses!! They have organised lots of events from Race Nights, to tribute singers and cocktail parties to quiz nights.
💚💚

💚💚This summer, the PTA have surpassed themselves, organising The Last Hurrah - a party to end all parties. This was held at the farm (see previous album) and provided a memorable afternoon and evening of fun and entertainment for all of our families. The PTA also ensured that every child from reception to year 6 received a beautiful, engraved dragon statuette - thanks to Regimental Statuette Manufacturers Ltd. Our Little Dragons received a cuddly dragon to remind them of their time in pre-school. They have also provided refreshments for the year 6 play, The Tempest and also for our Graduation event. 💚💚

💚💚To each and every PTA member, we would like to say how much we appreciate your involvement over the years. You have provided so many 'little extras' which have enriched the lives of so many children. You know who you are! 😉 💚💚

💚💚 On behalf of our children and staff, we'd like to say a huge thank you. 💚💚

HAZEL AND OAK CLASSES

"Don't cry because it's over; smile because it's happened."

As our celebrations came to an end, years 5 & 6 performed their farewell song. This was followed by a presentation of trophies and shields - some of which were presented by the previous year's recipients, who had kindly been allowed by their senior schools to visit SGPS for one last time.

Our Head Boy and Head Girl concluded the proceedings with two superbly written and beautifully delivered speeches.

Before we knew it, the final ever 'Graduation' event had finished. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. We closed the door on the last fourteen years of adventures, smiles and the very best in education feeling proud to have travelled this journey with some inspirational teachers, wonderful families and children who made it a joy to step into the classroom every day. We've had a blast!

We wish all of our families a very happy summer holiday and can't wait to hear about your next journey. Please stay in touch.

With much love from everyone at St George's Preparatory School and Little Dragons Pre-School. 💚💚

The stage is set for our final day tomorrow. Many thanks to the parents who stayed late to help to put up the marquee. Teamwork made the dream work!
Sleep tight everyone and don’t forget your tissues and picnic in the morning.
