TURING SANTA FUN RUN 🎅

Co27 and Co28 were involved in the Turing Santa fun run on Wednesday. Students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and raised lots of money for our house charity - Rainbows.

A busy week of fixtures comes to a close...

⚽️ On Monday, the Y9 boys finished 3rd and unbeaten in their Futsal tournament. They played very well throughout and were unlucky to miss out on the final by goal difference. A huge thank you to the Y10 helpers who were valuable in refereeing and scoring.

🏀 On Wednesday, the Y11 girls took part in a basketball tournament which was mostly made up of Y10s. They played some brilliant games and were unlucky in some of them. Well done to the girls from both year groups and thank you to the Y10 girls for stepping up.

🏀Basketball results from this week🏀

Y9 boys won a tight game against Giles 25-15. A special mention to Christian for his first game for the school and scoring the bulk of our points.

Y11 boys ran out 68-17 winners against Giles. Superb effort and stamina with no subs. A special mention to Redas who scored a massive 36 points.

A busy week which involved football, trampolining and cross country.

Y8 boys drew 4-4 in the national cup before a cruel loss on penalties, with Jaxon scoring a hat trick and Max also netting. Well done to the boys for a great run.

There was a trampoline competition involving Y9 and Y10 girls. Thank you to all girls who represented us and a special mention to Lacey who finished 3rd out of 40 participants. A massive thank you also to Miss Bates and Mrs Drury who organised and hosted on behalf of Haven High.

Our cross country competition today was a great success with top efforts from everybody involved. We are waiting for results to be confirmed and these will be posted in the near future. Thank you to all runners who represented us and well done on your achievements.

Another busy week of fixtures comes to a close...

Football ⚽️

Y8 boys progressed in the national cup thanks to a stunning late turnaround which saw them score 2 in the last 5 minutes - from 2-1 down to winning 3-2. They now play in the 4th round on Tuesday.

Our y10 boys made the trip to Nene Park in their national cup game but unfortunately lost to a very strong side.

Our year 10 girls made it to round 3 of the national cup but they lost to Spalding high this week.

Basketball 🏀

Our year 11 boys drew 14-14 with Thomas Middlecott in an end to end game.

Our year 9 boys came away with a 17-2 victory against the same opposition.

Well done to all of our players and thank you for your efforts.

A successful week in the boys football with year 10 boys winning 8-1 on Monday and year 9 boys winning 3-0 on Thursday, both against Thomas Cowley.

Great to see some new faces giving solid performances and some fantastic goals in both games.

Well done to all our sports representatives over this half term, enjoy your break!

A massive well done to our year 7 football team who played their first game together this week. A 5-2 win over Thomas Cowley with 5 different goalscorers and fantastic performances all over the pitch.

Also, our year 11 football team won 5-2 against Thomas Cowley with 5 players making their first appearances for the school and Laurynas scored a fantastic hattrick to help them on the way.

Year 8 boys won 8-0 in the national cup against Giles this week with some year 7s making the step up.

Year 8 girls played their 2nd game of the season and sealed a 8-7 win against Middlecott. Well done girls, well deserved 🙂

HHA U15 Girls (CO25&26) had a brilliant first football match together, winning 3-1 against KSHS, in the 2nd round of the Cup. 2 goals from Jasmin and 1 from Keira. The whole team worked really well together, and we look forward to Round 3. It was hard to believe that it was some of the player’s first game of football. at Haven High Academy

Y9 boys won 8-2 against Boston Grammar
Y11 boys lost 2-0 to Boston Grammar

Y10 boys won 9-1 against Jack Hunt school in the Cup

Some fantastic team and individual performances to build on!

East of England Athletics adventure🏃‍♂️🎽

During the weekend this young man has been flying the flag for HHA, Boston Schools' and the Lincolnshire Schools' Junior Boys Athletics team, where he competed in the ESAA Regional Combined Events at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich.

During the Pentathlon he recorded PB's in four events; LJ, Shot, Hurdles and 800m. Congratulations to the Lincolnshire Team and the overall winners, Essex Schools', who have qualified for the National Schools' Finals.

Year 7 Girls are Boston Schools' Rounders Champions

Congratulations to these girls and their coach Miss Bates who won all of their games in the recent tournament and have now qualified for the South Lincolnshire Schools' final.
