Ahead of a busy weekend, we want to remind those visiting our East coast of the initiative.

The scheme works by giving FREE wristbands out to families of children and vulnerable adults. These wristbands contain the details of the family in case the person wearing the wristband should get lost.

You can collect wristbands across the Lincolnshire coast. Look out for any location or venue displaying the Sandi Starfish poster.

Here are some of our top tips to staying safe:
⭐ Designate a meeting point using Sandi Starfish flags where available
⭐ Tell your child or vulnerable adult what to do if they get separated from you. Ideally approach someone in uniform and tell them they are lost.
⭐ Use the wristband to record your name and phone number
⭐ Keep an up-to-date photo and remember what your child is wearing.
⭐ Most importantly - enjoy your holiday safely!

Since we last saw you, we have been really busy with Forest School sessions, working and spending time with our own babies! 💕

These weeks have flown by!!! Our last session with Holy Trinity tomorrow! 🥲

Chicken pox is rife at this time of year, here are some top tips from Mini First Aid

💚For the fever - DO NOT, under any circumstances, give a baby or child with chickenpox ibuprofen as it can cause serious skin infections in people with chickenpox. Stick to paracetamol.

💚There are a number of over the counter products and also make at home remedies to relieve the itching – speak to your pharmacist for more information and guidance on suitability for your child.

💚Monitor your child’s temperature. Keep your child cool in loose cotton clothing or bare skin and keep them hydrated with water. Cool baths are soothing but make sure you pat skin dry, don't rub.

💚Cut your child's nails and put socks on your child's hands at night to avoid further irritation to your child's skin from scratching.

💚Your GP can offer advice, if you ring your doctor’s surgery ask for a telephone or end of surgery appointment so you don't risk infecting others.

💚Avoid contact with those who are pregnant, newborn babies and those who have a weakened immune system.

💚Children should stay off nursery/child care until the spots have crusted over. It is worth checking your child carer’s policy.

💚If you are in any way concerned about your baby or child’s condition; call 111 for advice or call 999 for an emergency.
