Come and meet Emma from LPCF for a relaxed and supportive coffee afternoon for parents and carers βπ
Emma is one of our trained LPCF volunteers β a parent of a child with additional needs and someone with lived experience of disability β who will be visiting Park Academy to host an informal coffee session for parents.
These session will be:
β Relaxed and informal
β Parent-focused and supportive
β A safe space for open and honest conversation
Delivered alongside Hannah the SENCo, the session will be a welcoming environment where parents can:
π¬ Talk openly with both Park Academy and LPCF
π Feel heard and understood
π€ Build trust and confidence in a more informal setting
During the session, Emma will:
β’ Share information about LPCF and the support available to families
β’ Explain how parent and carers can have their voices heard and influence local services
β’ Offer a listening ear and gentle signposting where appropriate
We look forward to welcoming parents and carers for a friendly coffee and conversation β

Lunch Ordering Information - Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 (optional for Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)
Dear parents/carers,
The menus for next academic year are now on ParentPay. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (optional for Years 3, 4, 5 & 6) please book (at least the first 2 weeks) by 12pm Monday 20th July! The menus will be closed after this date and during the holidays.
If you don't pick an option, we will have to choose your child's lunch and we may not always pick the right lunch option for your child.
Just to remind parents that when your child enters year 3 in September, hot dinners will now need to be paid for as the entitlement for the Universal Infant Free School Meals ends (benefit related Free School Meals will continue if you are eligible).
Allergy and other dietary requirements are available on the Saffron wellbeing portal accessible via the school website or link below.

Please help your child stay safe in the hot weather this week:
Wear PE kit or cool clothing.
Bring a named water bottle.
Bring a named blue cap.
Apply SPF 50 suncream at home before school.
Do not send suncream into school.
School will:
Provide regular water breaks.
Use fans and keep rooms as cool as possible.
Use shaded areas outdoors.
Adapt PE and outdoor activities.
Keep children indoors if temperatures become too high.

Year 3 Cyanotype art
π«πͺπ«πͺ Did you know that photographs can be made just from paper? Year 3 Team Camel have been collecting leaves and flowers, pressing them and then placing on cyanotype paper! The sun bleaches the exposed areas blue, leaving the outline of the leaves white!

Please help us keep your child safe and comfortable during the warm weather forecast for this week:

Bring a full, fresh water bottle every day
β
Wear a sun hat or cap to school
β
Apply sunscreen before arriving at school. Children are also welcome to bring a bottle in named to keep in their lockers.

Add an ice pack to packed lunches to keep food cool.
π³ Playtimes:
Due to limited shade in the playgrounds, we may have indoor playtimes during very hot weather.
