Today we celebrate the women shaping the future of aviation 🚁

Did you know that out of the 1,435 UK helicopter private pilot licence holders, only around 5% are women?

The good news is that things are changing. Between 2019 and 2023, pilot licences issued to women in the UK increased by 26%, with commercial licences rising by 43%.

ICE Helicopters is proud to be bit of an outlier in those numbers. With many female students, pilots and instructors in our hangar, we see first-hand the talent, focus and skill brought to the cockpit - and of course showing the rest of us how it’s really done.

Here’s to the women already flying, training, and pushing the industry forward!
