💙 「您對孩子的幫助，我們一直銘記於心。」

八月份，我們陸續收到一些即已經完成 UKGuardianship 監護服務的家長和學生傳來的訊息。

其中一位媽媽告訴我們：
💬 「孩子獨自遠赴英國求學，作為父母一直牽掛、放心不下。很慶幸遇到您這麼負責任的監護人，給予她很多引導與鼓勵。」

另一位家長在孩子順利升讀大學後，再次聯絡我們：
💬 「謝謝您的祝福，您對孩子的幫助我們一直銘記於心。」

而一位曾經在生病期間得到我們支援的學生，也寫道：
💬 「尤其在我生病期間，老師非常重視我的健康狀況，及時給予支持，讓我特別安心……持續關注我的恢復情況，讓我感到非常溫暖。」

看到這些訊息，我們很感動。

因為這正正提醒我們，Guardianship 從來不只是一份工作，也不只是提供一項服務。

對遠在海外的父母來說，孩子在英國生病了、遇到困難了、情緒低落了，甚至只是需要一個熟悉的人說說話——父母最希望的，是有人可以在英國代他們多走一步、多問一句、多關心一點。

這也是我們希望 UKGuardianship 可以做到的事。

我們或許不能取代父母，但當父母相隔千里，我們希望成為那個可以代表父母站在孩子身旁、陪伴和支持他們的人。

服務會有完結的一天，但我們很珍惜在這段旅程中建立的信任和關係。❤️

💙 “We will always remember the support you gave our child.”

Throughout August, we have received some very touching messages from parents and students who have recently completed their guardianship journey with UKGuardianship.

One mother shared with us:

💬 “Sending our child to study in the UK on her own was naturally a great worry for us as parents. We feel very fortunate to have found such a responsible guardian who gave her so much guidance and encouragement.”

Another parent got back in touch after their child successfully progressed to university:

💬 “Thank you for your kind wishes. We will always remember the support you gave our child.”

And one of our students, whom we supported during a period of illness, wrote:

💬 “When I was unwell, the team paid close attention to my health and gave me support when I needed it, which made me feel very reassured. They continued to check on my recovery and made me feel genuinely cared for.”

Messages like these mean a great deal to us. ❤️

They remind us that guardianship is much more than a job or simply providing a service.

When parents are thousands of miles away and their child is unwell, facing a difficult situation, feeling low or simply needs someone familiar to talk to, what matters most is knowing that there is someone here in the UK who will go that extra step, ask that extra question and provide that extra bit of care.

That is what we want UKGuardianship to be.

We can never replace a parent. But when parents cannot be here themselves, we aim to be someone they can trust to stand beside their child, act on their behalf, and provide the care and support they would want for them.

A guardianship service may eventually come to an end, but the relationships and trust we build with our students and their families are something we truly value.

❤️ 一句「謝謝」，可以溫暖一個人的心。

最近，我們一位寄宿家庭（Host Family）開心地與我們分享了一張學生親手寫的感謝卡。

這是一位來自美國、17 歲的女生。在完成英國暑期課程後，她只在我們的寄宿家庭住了一個星期。短短一星期，在離開當天，她親筆寫下感謝的話語，感謝寄宿家庭這段時間的照顧、陪伴與關懷。

寄宿家庭收到後非常感動，第一時間便與 UKG 分享這份喜悅。

在 UKG，我們一直相信，真正讓人難忘的，不只是服務，而是彼此之間的尊重、善意與感恩。

寄宿家庭不只是提供住宿和餐點，他們更打開自己的家，讓學生在異鄉也能感受到溫暖與安心。

或許一句「謝謝」、一張小卡片、一個真誠的擁抱，看似微不足道，卻足以讓一個人的付出變得更有意義。

💛 懂得感恩，是一種品格，也是一生受用的能力。

我們也想鼓勵所有 UKG的學生，在英國留學期間，不論是寄宿家庭、老師、司機、學校職員，還是任何曾經幫助過你的人，都別忘了向他們表達你的感謝。

作為家長，誰不希望自己的孩子懂得感恩、懂得欣賞別人的付出？與其凡事抱怨、凡事不滿，我們更希望孩子學懂看到別人的好，並真誠地說一句：「謝謝你！」

我們作為監護人，也會毫不猶豫地把這些好人好事分享出來，讓學生們除了來英求學，也可以互相學習好的品德和好的習慣。

❤️ A simple “Thank You” can warm someone’s heart.

Recently, one of our lovely Host Families happily shared with us a handwritten thank-you card they received from a UKG student.

The student is a 17-year-old girl from the United States. After completing her summer programme in the UK, she stayed with one of our Host Families for just one week.

Although it was only a short stay, on the day she left, she took the time to write a personal thank-you card, expressing her appreciation for the care, companionship and kindness she had received during her stay.

The Host Family was so touched that they immediately shared this lovely moment with UKG. ❤️

At UKGuardianship, we have always believed that what makes an experience truly memorable is not only the service we provide, but also the respect, kindness and gratitude we show to one another.

A Host Family does much more than provide accommodation and meals. They open their home to a young person and help them feel safe, comfortable and cared for while they are far away from their own family.

Sometimes, a simple “thank you”, a handwritten card or a genuine hug may seem like a small gesture, but it can make someone feel that everything they have done is truly appreciated.

💛 Being thankful is part of good character — and a quality that will benefit a young person throughout their life.

We would also like to encourage all UKGuardianship students studying in the UK: whether it is your Host Family, teachers, drivers, school staff or anyone else who has helped you along the way, please remember to show your appreciation.

As parents, who wouldn’t want their child to grow up appreciating what others do for them? Rather than always complaining or focusing on what is not perfect, we hope our students can learn to recognise the kindness around them and sincerely say, “Thank you!” ❤️

“Thank you” is more than good manners — it reflects a person’s character.

As guardians, we are always happy to share these positive stories. We want our students not only to come to the UK to receive a good education, but also to learn from one another, develop good character and build positive habits for life.

We look forward to the new academic year and to sharing many more heart-warming stories like this with you. 😊

❤️ 心跳加速的一刻，你有趕上嗎？

7 月 20 日，英國時間下午 3 點（亞洲時間晚上 10 點），相信不少學生的心跳都同步加速了。

這一天，準備申請 Mathematics、Engineering、Physics、Psychology、Economics 等熱門學科的同學，紛紛登入系統，搶訂 TMUA、TARA、ESAT 的考試時段。

打開各大社交平台，映入眼簾的不是備考心得，而是一片「卡住了！」「一直停留在登入頁面！」「系統進不去！」的留言。大家都在等待網頁回應，希望能成功搶到自己心儀的考試中心及時段。
這並不是誇張。

每年都有來自世界各地、數以萬計的學生報考這些大學入學測驗，而熱門考試中心往往在開放報名後短時間內便被預約一空，因此不少學生都會提前做好準備，希望能選到距離自己最近、交通最方便的考場。

🎯 這場競爭，其實早已開始。
很多人以為，申請牛津、劍橋、Imperial 或其他頂尖大學，是等到 UCAS 遞交才開始競爭。

其實不是。

從選科、準備入學考試、預約考位，到安排住宿、交通及考試當天的每一個細節，這些看似微不足道的事情，都可能影響整個申請節奏。

有時候，成功與否，不只是取決於考試成績，更取決於是否提前規劃、及早準備。

Meet the People Behind UK Guardianship

Many parents think a guardian is simply a name listed on a school's emergency contact form.

But once a child begins their life in the UK, they soon realise that a guardian can become one of the most important people supporting them.

This photo isn't just a team lunch.

It is a group of people who work every day to care for international students across the UK.

Some of us arrange holiday accommodation and transport. Others liaise with schools, respond to emergencies, or simply spend time supporting students as they settle into life away from home.

One question we are often asked is:
"What's the difference between a Guardian and a Host Family?"

🏡 A Host Family provides accommodation and day-to-day care during school holidays and Exeat weekends.

💙 A Guardian represents parents in the UK, providing ongoing support throughout a student's time here. From communicating with schools and arranging travel to responding to emergencies and looking after students' wellbeing, we are here whenever our students need us.

Because we believe that what students need most isn't simply a place to stay.

They need the reassurance that:
"No matter what happens, there's someone in the UK they can turn to."

This year, we were honoured to receive the BSA Supporting Excellence Award 2026. This recognition reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality guardianship and putting every student's welfare first.

究竟是從什麼時候開始，家長會變成了每個學科限時 5 分鐘，時間一到，系統便自動中斷？

這樣的家長會模式，很容易讓家長掉以輕心。

心裡想：「5 分鐘可以談上什麼？」

但有趣的是，這個星期我代表幾位家長參加家長會後，其中一位學生有一科的全年預測成績，竟然由 Grade 2 提升至 Grade 5。

這是怎麼一回事？容我先賣個關子。

不少留學生家長也是這樣想，尤其因為地域和時差問題，很多亞洲家長未必能親身參與家長會。

但他們未必知道，其實絕對可以委託監護人代為參加。

這個星期，我代表了幾位家長參加家長會。我很珍惜每一個 5 分鐘，甚至特別叮囑學生不要參加，讓我獨佔這寶貴的時間。

有學生在場的家長會，往往頭兩分鐘已花在老師與學生互相問好、討論對成績是否滿意等等。老師和學生在學校朝夕相對，這些話題平日已經有很多機會談。

一旦受到家長委託，我們會先仔細研究學生全年的學習進度和報告，了解成績究竟是上升還是下滑。以 GCSE 為例，Grade 7-9 的科目，與 Grade 6 以下的科目，需要問的問題其實截然不同。

我很高興，其中兩位家長收到我的報告後，特別向我致謝。透過家長會，他們更清楚了解孩子目前的學習水平，知道暑假應如何補底或拔尖，也明白每個科目的 Grade 究竟代表什麼。

這正正就是家長會的重要性。

問對問題，分享老師未必知道的重要資訊，5 分鐘其實可以很有價值。假如學生有 10 個科目，加起來便是 50 分鐘，絕對不是一個短時間。

作為監護人，我們從不保留，會將家長會的重點和分析完整分享給家長。學生千里迢迢來到英國留學，我們定必全力支持他們的生活及學習需要。

UK Guardianship 成立超過 16 年，可以想像我們參加過多少場家長會。

而這份專業和經驗，正是我們一直引以為傲的地方。

When did Parents' Evening become a series of 5-minute appointments, automatically ending when the time is up?

Many parents assume:

"What can really be discussed in 5 minutes?"

This week, I attended several Parents' Evenings on behalf of overseas families. Interestingly, after one meeting, a student's predicted grade in a subject was adjusted from Grade 2 to Grade 5.

How did that happen? I'll keep that story for another day.

Many international parents miss Parents' Evening because of distance, work commitments or time zone differences. What they may not realise is that a guardian can attend on their behalf.

When entrusted by parents, we do not simply join the meeting. We review the student's reports, academic progress and teachers' comments beforehand. After all, the questions you ask about a Grade 8 student are very different from those you ask about a Grade 4 student.

Those 5 minutes matter.

Ask the right questions, share information that teachers may not know, and a short meeting can become incredibly valuable. With 10 subjects, those 5-minute appointments quickly add up to nearly an hour of meaningful discussion.

As educational guardians, we always share our observations and feedback openly with families. Students travel thousands of miles to study in the UK, and we are committed to supporting both their wellbeing and academic progress.

After more than 16 years of supporting international students, we've attended more Parents' Evenings than we can count.

That experience and professionalism remain something we are proud of.

在這個人人都追捧 AI、科技不斷為生活帶來便利的年代，線上會議和各式各樣的社交平台，的確打破了人與人之間的距離；但與此同時，面對面的交流反而變得更難能可貴。你開始衡量，究竟什麼樣的人，才值得你花時間親身見上一面。

上星期，我有幸參加了 Brighter Future Forum 3.0（BFF 3.0）。活動匯聚了學校代表、教育顧問、導師及不同教育工作者，讓大家從不同角度交流對教育發展與挑戰的看法。

首先，活動選址本身已令人印象深刻。論壇在倫敦著名的North London Collegiate School (NLCS) 女子學校舉行，這並非一般人能隨意參觀的校園。能夠促成這次活動，其中一位主辦人 Susan（同時也是 UKG 創辦人及董事）功不可沒。她本身是該校校友，這次更邀請了同樣畢業於該校的大女兒，一同分享如何尊重孩子，以及在教育路上如何彼此聆聽和理解。

單從這個安排，我再次感受到「人際關係」的重要性。
作為教育監護人，我平日主要與學生、家長及學校接觸。這次論壇讓我有機會與不同教育工作者交流，從更多元的角度了解教育行業。

論壇最令我深刻的，不只是台上的分享，而是台下的交流。

我認為 Brighter Future Forum 的價值，正正在於建立一個讓教育界不同持份者互相交流和學習的平台。教育從來不是單靠某一個人或機構完成，而是需要整個教育生態圈共同合作。

離開論壇時，我帶走的不只是名片，更是新的想法、新的視野，以及對教育同工們更深的認識與尊重。

感謝主辦團隊用心籌辦這個有意義的平台，也期待未來有更多跨界別交流的機會。

在這個講求速度和效率的年代，科技把大家拉回同一起跑線，但真正讓人脫穎而出的，往往仍然是人與人之間的關係。

作為監護人公司，我們也一直鼓勵學生建立良好的人際關係，無論是與父母、老師、宿管、同學，還是監護人。

這些關係都需要時間和心思經營，但當你願意投入，你會發現自己看事情的角度、處理問題的方式，甚至未來能走的路，都會變得不一樣。

In an era where AI and technology are transforming the way we live, online meetings and social media have undoubtedly made it easier to connect with people across the world. Yet, at the same time, genuine face-to-face interactions have become more valuable than ever. We are becoming more selective about who we invest our time in meeting, and which conversations are truly worth having.

Last week, I had the privilege of attending Brighter Future Forum 3.0 (BFF 3.0), an event that brought together school representatives, education consultants, tutors, guardians and other professionals from across the education sector. It was a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and gain insights into the opportunities and challenges facing education today.

The venue itself was remarkable. The forum was hosted at North London Collegiate School (NLCS), one of London's most prestigious independent schools. This was made possible in part by one of the event organisers, Susan, who is both an alumna of the school and the founder and director of UK Guardianship. She was joined by her eldest daughter, also an alumna, for a thoughtful discussion on respecting children and the importance of listening to one another throughout the educational journey.

Even before the programme began, I was reminded of the power of relationships. Opportunities like this are often built on trust, connections and shared values developed over many years.

What impressed me most was not only the presentations on stage, but also the conversations taking place off stage.

To me, the true value of Brighter Future Forum lies in creating a platform where different stakeholders in education can learn from one another. Education is never the work of a single individual or organisation. It requires collaboration across an entire ecosystem of people who care about students' development.

Thank you to the organising team for creating such a meaningful event. I look forward to seeing more opportunities for cross-sector collaboration in the future.

As a guardianship organisation, we also encourage students to build strong relationships with their parents, teachers, house parents, classmates and, of course, their guardians. These relationships take time, effort and genuine care to develop, but once established, they can shape not only opportunities, but also the way we approach life itself.

正當英國的A-Level 公開考試進行得如火如荼之際，最近有一則英國教育界的消息，很值得和大家分享。

上星期，Pearson Edexcel A-Level 數學考試結束後，不少學生在社交媒體上表示試卷難度比往年高得多。隨後，有學生發起聯署（petition），短時間內便獲得超過 20,000 人支持，要求相關部門檢視試卷難度及評分安排。

這則新聞最值得家長和同學關注的，未必是試卷究竟有多難，而是學生們選擇了如何表達自己的想法。 在英國教育文化中，學生被鼓勵以理性、尊重和負責任的方式表達意見。當他們認為某件事情值得討論時，會透過聯署、正式反映意見或公開討論等渠道發聲，而不是單純抱怨或逃避問題。

無論最終結果如何，這些學生都示範了一個重要能力：勇於表達自己的感受，同時懂得透過合適的方法爭取自己的訴求。 這也是我們希望同學們在英國學習期間能夠培養的重要素質之一。

As the A-Level examination season continues across the UK, a recent story from the education sector caught our attention and is worth sharing with parents and students alike.

Last week, following the Pearson Edexcel A-Level Mathematics examination, many students took to social media to express their concerns that the paper was significantly more challenging than in previous years. Shortly afterwards, a student-led petition was launched, gaining more than 20,000 signatures in a short period of time and calling for the relevant authorities to review the paper's difficulty and grading arrangements.

What makes this story interesting is not necessarily how difficult the examination was, but how the students chose to respond.

In the UK education system, students are encouraged to express their views in a rational, respectful and responsible manner. When they feel that an issue deserves attention, they are taught to raise concerns through appropriate channels, such as petitions, formal feedback and public discussion, rather than simply complaining or avoiding the challenge.

Whatever the final outcome may be, these students have demonstrated an important life skill: having the confidence to express their feelings while also understanding how to advocate for themselves in a constructive and respectful way.

This is one of the valuable qualities we hope all students will develop during their time studying in the UK.

每年 6 月至 7 月，都是英國大學 Open Day（開放日）的黃金檔期。對於正在就讀 Year 10、Year 11 或 Year 12 的學生來說，這是一個難得的機會，可以親身走進大學校園，感受未來的學習和生活環境。

可惜了，在這個科技太發達的年代，為了保護學生的私隱，我們不能隨便分享同學們的「廬山真面目」。

幸好，作為監護人的我們並不怕「拋頭露面」，所以今天可以和大家分享一個溫暖的小故事。

5月29日下午，我們的 Toby 老師特地前往劍橋，出席其中一位韓國學生 Patrick 的年度頒獎典禮（Prize Ceremony）。

每年5月至6月，英國不少學校都會舉行年度頒獎典禮，表揚在學業、藝術、體育或其他領域表現優秀的學生。能夠站上台領獎，對學生來說是一份肯定；對家長來說，更是一份驕傲。

Patrick 的父母身在韓國。雖然很想親身到英國見證兒子的成長時刻，但礙於工作安排，最終未能成行。

17歲的 Patrick 其實覺得自己一個人出席也沒問題。不過當我們提出以「監護人」身份代表家長出席時，他很爽快地接受了。

這就對了！

否則，爸爸媽媽又怎能即時收到現場照片、得獎影片，以及那些值得珍藏一輩子的回憶呢？

監護人的角色，不只是簽文件、安排交通，或在緊急時提供協助。

很多時候，我們更是家長在英國的延伸。

多一分信任，多一分溝通，多一分陪伴，學生的留學生活便多一分安心與溫暖。

In this age of advanced technology, we have to be very careful about protecting our students' privacy, which means we cannot always share their smiling faces online.

Fortunately, as guardians, we do not mind being the ones "in front of the camera", so today we'd like to share a heartwarming story with you.

On 29 May, our Toby travelled all the way to Cambridge to attend the Prize Ceremony of one of our Korean students, Patrick.

Across the UK, many schools hold annual Prize Ceremonies during May and June to recognise students who have excelled academically, artistically, in sport, or in other areas of school life. For students, it is a proud moment of achievement. For parents, it is often a moment they never want to miss.

Patrick's parents are based in South Korea. Like many international parents, they would have loved to attend the ceremony in person, but work commitments made the trip impossible.

At 17, Patrick felt perfectly comfortable attending on his own. However, when we offered to attend as his guardian and represent his family, he was delighted to accept.

And we're very glad he did!

After all, without us being there, who would have captured the photographs, recorded the award presentation, and shared those precious memories with Mum and Dad back home?

Being a guardian is about much more than signing forms, arranging transport, or providing emergency support.

Sometimes, it means standing beside a student during an important milestone and representing the family when they cannot be there themselves.

A little more trust, a little more communication, and a little more support can make a student's journey abroad that much happier and more rewarding.

Congratulations to Patrick on his achievement, and thank you for allowing us to be part of such a special occasion.
