Last Wednesday, we said farewell to our incredible Year 11 Class of 2026. Our leavers' assembly was filled with laughter, memories, and a few tears as we reflected on the many milestones, achievements, and unforgettable moments from their time here at King’s. From their first days with us to their final guard of honour, it was a fitting celebration of everything they have accomplished.

While we are sad that their King’s Adventure has come to an end, we are so proud of the young people they have become. Their King’s Rucksacks are now filled with the knowledge, skills, character, and memories they need to embark on the next stage of their journey.

We wish each and every one of them the very best for the future and cannot wait to see where life takes them next.

Once a King’s student, always a King’s student. Good luck, Class of 2026!

📢 Uniform Update for This Week

For the remainder of this week, due to the increasingly high temperatures, we have made further adjustments to our uniform expectations. Students have the flexibility to attend in either full school uniform (without blazers and jumpers) or the full King’s PE kit.

Last week some of out Year 8 students had a fantastic day at the University of Liverpool, taking part in the NHS Future Medics Programme.

Through a range of interactive workshops, students explored the many career pathways available within healthcare and medicine, developing their understanding of the skills and qualifications needed to work in the medical field.

It was an inspiring experience that encouraged students to think about their future aspirations and the exciting opportunities available through the NHS.

Last Saturday, students, staff and even some of our alumni kicked off our Parkrun Tour at Crosby Beach. Despite the windy conditions, everyone showed fantastic determination, resilience and team spirit, making it a brilliant start to the tour.

We can't wait to see more students challenging themselves, supporting each other and having fun along the way in today’s Parkrun.

Yesterday some of our Year 9 students attended a day at the University of Liverpool to learn about circadian rhythms and how our productivity and even our coordination is impacted by the time of the day. Their engagement in the STEM lecture and the associated activities was superb and students were curious about where higher education could take them. Aspiration in action.
