🥋 A small favour from our martial arts friends…

We’re currently working on improving the online footprint of Bun Bu Ryō Dō / Edinburgh Koryukan, so that people searching for good-quality martial arts training locally have a better chance of finding us.

While our regular members and parents know what we do, we’ve also been fortunate over the years to train with and host people from much further afield.

So, if you’ve ever trained with us, visited the dojo, attended one of our seminars, trained at an event we’ve taught at, or otherwise had first-hand experience of our teaching, we’d be hugely grateful if you could spare a couple of minutes to leave us an honest Google review.

You certainly don’t need to be a current member or live locally, we’d actually really value hearing from the wider martial arts community.

Yesterday our junior students had the opportunity to demonstrate the progress they’ve made over the past several months. Grading isn’t just about earning a new belt, it’s about showing improvement, effort, perseverance, and the willingness to keep learning.

We were delighted with the attitude shown throughout the day. There were plenty of nerves, but everyone gave their best, supported one another, and represented the dojo with respect and good spirit.

A huge congratulations to all those who were successful today. Wear your new grades with pride, but remember that a belt is not the destination, it’s simply a marker on a much longer journey.

For those who weren’t quite ready this time, don’t be discouraged. Every setback is an opportunity to grow, and with continued training and determination, your time will come.

Finally, thank you to all our adult students for assisting, to parents and families for your continued support. Your encouragement behind the scenes makes a tremendous difference.
