We are delighted and very proud to announce that we have been awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools!
The assessor commented that "Church Road Primary School is a warm and welcoming school with a clear vision and strategy for promoting and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all members of the school community. It was an absolute privilege to be able to spend a day in this wonderful school! The headteacher’s commitment to creating a whole school community with emotional well-being and mental health at its heart is clear. The school provides a very good level of support for the emotional and mental health and emotional wellbeing of the pupils."
The full report can be found on our website if you wish to read it.
Thank you and a big well done to all stakeholders who were involved in the 18 months of hard work towards gaining the award and to those involved during the assessment day.

Our Y6 boys did a fantastic job representing school at last night’s football tournament at Bolton School. They played four incredibly competitive matches, displaying pure grit and determination as well as model sportsmanship.
Games were that intense, taking action shots didn’t happen!
You should be very proud of yourselves 👏🏻 ⚽️

This year marks the 160th anniversary of the opening of the Park (Queens) in 1866. To celebrate this milestone year, The Friends of Queens Park Bolton are holding an event in the park on Saturday 23rd May, with the Mayor opening the event at 1pm.
They have a full music and dance programme planned for the afternoon, supported by Bolton FM, alongside community stalls, Play and Youth activities and Historia Normannis who are undertaking a mini medieval enactment.
There should be lots of free activities for families, alongside tombolas etc and I'm hoping this will be a good event.

World Book Day 📕
We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day! Children took part in many different activities across the day including a footie bookie quiz, live lessons, book swaps with friends, reading to children from different year groups and dancing linked to books about sporting heroes. A great day filled with reading and fun!
A huge thank you to the many parents who throughout this week have been into school to be our ‘mystery readers’ - the children absolutely loved having you in!
