🐘🦓 Down in the Jungle… 🐆🐊

This week in the preschool room we have been doing some super fun safari activities and learnt lots of exciting facts about wildlife and how to keep all of our animals safe.🗺️

Some of the activities we have been doing include:

🐯 explore the jungle for safari animals
🦁 making jungle animals from playdough
🐒 letter sound I Spy
🦍 planting flowers to help our environment
🐨 clean the animals
🦜 painting different safari animals

🌘☀️ Solar Eclipse ☀️🌘

This morning the preschool children have been learning about what a solar eclipse is and what we might be able to see tonight. We spoke about how the moon goes in front of the sun and all of the sky will go very very dark for a few moments.🌌
We looked at some photos of what it will look like and then made our very own pictures!🎨

Today the toddlers and preschoolers had lots of fun in the colour mixing butterfly foam tray! They used the paintbrushes to mix and mix and mix to create… A COLOURFUL BUTTERFLY!🦋🎨 In the small world area the children investigated the sensory bottles and bags to see what textures they could feel! 🤲🏼

Activities like these encourage shape recognition, creativity, and fine motor development while making early maths an exciting part of play. 🌈✨

Preschool this morning have enjoyed creating beautiful bee hives using paint and glitter. This fun activity encouraged creativity while helping them learn about bees and their important role in nature 🐝.

The children also watched a short video about bee hives and learned why they are important. They discovered that a bee hive is a safe home where bees live, make honey 🍯 . The video also helped the children understand that bees pollinate flowers, fruits, and vegetables, making them an important part of helping plants grow and keeping our environment healthy.🌻

This morning preschool had a wonderful time painting and exploring their creativity 🎨They especially enjoyed mirror painting, where they folded their paper to reveal beautiful symmetrical patterns.🦋It was a fun and engaging activity that encouraged imagination and fine motor skills. 🖌️

🎀💕 Preschool’s new pet… Barbie! 💕🎀

We have a new member of the Preschool team and she’s called Barbie! Our new friend sits in her cage and watches all of the children to make sure we are all being super good and being kind to our friends☺️

- ‘find the letter’ worksheets 📝
- building towers with the mag snaps 🗼

🏝️🩷 Bella Bunny is going on a well deserved holiday! 🩷🏝️

She has had an amazing time going on lots of exciting adventures with all of the preschool children but she is sooo tired from looking after all of you.😴 So she has jetted off and is taking a nice break on the beach! 🛩️🏖️

She will see you all in September 💕🐰
