Yesterday we had a lovely visit with Darren from Bolton Hospice to hand over our donations raised from our Bunny Hop of £1860. A great amount raised by all our children and families to such a good cause 🐇🐇🐇 thank you again for all who took part and raised money for this wonderful charity who do amazing work

🌟 Another Fun-Filled Week in Lower Preschool! 🌟

What a busy and exciting week we have had!

The children enjoyed using one-handed tools to collect melted ice cream, helping to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and control. They loved exploring our homemade ice cream shop, using their imaginations and communication skills as they took on different roles, served customers, and talked about their favourite flavours.

We then got creative with play dough, making our very own watermelons. The children explored and recognised different colours while strengthening their finger muscles through rolling, squashing, and shaping the dough.

After deciding our home corner needed a refresh, the children worked together to transform it into a lemonade stand! They helped make their own lemonade, discussing ingredients, following simple instructions, and developing their understanding of the world around them. This activity encouraged lots of language development, turn-taking, and teamwork.

To finish the week, we created beautiful jellyfish, exploring different materials and expressing our creativity through arts and crafts.

Throughout all of our activities, the children have been developing their communication and language skills, building friendships through cooperative play, and strengthening their fine motor skills through the use of one-handed tools and hands-on experiences.

They loved jumping and moving during active play, exploring and creating in the sand tray, and enjoying lots of fun with water play. These activities help develop coordination, creativity, communication, and teamwork while having plenty of smiles along the way. 💦🏖️🤸

We are so proud of the children from our nursery who recently took part in the IronKids event! 💪🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The children showed fantastic determination, enthusiasm, and teamwork as they challenged themselves and completed the activities. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they encouraged one another and celebrated their achievements together.

A huge well done to all of our little participants – you were amazing and represented our nursery brilliantly! 🌈.
