🦷✨ This Week in Preschool! ✨🥕🍎
This week, our little learners have been finding out all about oral hygiene, healthy eating and unhealthy eating! 🪥😁
We’ve been talking about why it’s so important to brush our teeth twice a day and what can happen to our teeth if we have too many sugary foods and drinks. We’ve also been exploring the difference between healthy choices and sugary treats, and why our bodies and teeth need a balanced diet. 🍓🥦💧
Through lots of fun discussions and activities, the children have been developing their understanding of how we can look after our bodies, teeth and overall wellbeing. 💕🦷

We then had some Dough Disco to develop our fine motor skills, before adding the herbs to our playdough and making faces and pictures. 🎨

🌞🌿 Sunny Garden Adventures! 🌿🌞
What a wonderful time the children have been having exploring our sunny pre-school garden! ☀️🌸 There has been so much curiosity, creativity and imagination happening across all of our different areas. 💛
💧🏖️ The children have been exploring different textures by pouring sand into the water trays, watching what happens and using their hands to feel how the textures change. They have been fascinated by the different consistencies they can create!
🌿🥣 Over in our mud kitchen, the children have been exploring our herbs, using their senses to smell the different scents while developing their mixing skills. One little chef proudly announced they were making “hot soup”! 🍲 What a lovely example of their imagination coming to life through play.
🐞🦋 In our shaded area, the children have been busy creating their very own minibeasts. They carefully counted how many arms and legs each insect had, developing their mathematical thinking while getting creative with their designs.
🏰💪 Our sand tray has also been a hive of activity! The children have been filling buckets, carrying them around and building their very own sandcastles, strengthening their gross motor skills, coordination and physical development. 🪣🏖️
It has been lovely to see the children learning through play, following their own interests and using the garden as a wonderful space to explore, investigate and create. 🌱✨

🐛🔎 Real Bug Hunt in the Garden! 🌿🪲
Today, our preschool children became little explorers and went on a real bug hunt in the garden! 🌱
The children explored the garden looking carefully for all sorts of tiny creatures. We talked about where the bugs were found, their different habitats, and what makes each place a good home for them. 🐌🕷️🐜
The children took turns searching and finding new bugs, showing lots of excitement and curiosity as they discovered what was hiding around our garden. Once we had finished our hunt, we came together as a group to share our discoveries and talk about all the different bugs the children had found.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their curiosity, communication, turn-taking and understanding of the natural world while having lots of fun getting hands-on with nature! 🌍💚
We wonder what tiny creatures we might discover on our next adventure! 🐞🔍
