What a fun afternoon some Y4 and 5 children had at Bolton Golf Club. The took part in a Tri-golf competition alongside 3 other schools. The children had to take five shots each at the 4 stations marked out for chipping, putting, pitching and driving (see photos). We had a lovely shaded area to keep cool in when they were not golfing and the driving station was in the stage.
We do not know who has won yet as the point totals were not disclosed to one another due to another group of schools competing on a different day (originally scheduled for tomorrow but it has been cancelled). It could take a couple of weeks before we find out the results. A big thank you to the parents and carers who transported and supported, we couldn't have taken part without you 🙌Thank you to the children who took part you represented our school perfectly 👏

Even though Year 4 didn't get to visit Blackpool Tower today, we've still had a brillliant BT themed day! First we made Lego towers, trying to make a stable structure. Then we had a glorious picnic on the field, complete with an ice-cream treat! We finished the day by creating miniature and giant BT architect's drawings. What a great day! 😁

Our final STEM club last week was a very busy one as the children raced to complete their vehicles. We were very lucky to be joined by Daniel from Go North West, who helped with some tricky technical issues. Children will present their vehicles to a panel of judges at our reward ceremony in school in July. Many thanks to Primary Engineers for all their support and supplies for the vehicle programme.
