Mrs Scott has been busy getting everything ready for the new school year, and the cart is now fully stocked with lots of new and exciting prizes! 👀✨

So, when we’re back in September, get collecting those all important merit stickers for your hard work, brilliant behaviour and all the wonderful things you do in school. ⭐

Once you’ve earned enough, pop along to see Mrs Scott, have a rummage through the cart and choose whichever prize takes your fancy!

We are incredibly proud of our first Bright Sparks Holiday Club. After 4 weeks of fun and laughter, our team are taking a well earned rest. We hope that all the children enjoyed attending the club just as much as we enjoyed having them with us.

☀️ Three Weeks to Go! 👕👟

With just three weeks until we welcome everyone back to St Peter’s, now feels like a good time for a reminder about our uniform, footwear and PE kit expectations for September.

The full guidance was sent home before the summer holidays in June, but as many families will now be starting their back to school shopping, we’re sharing it again so that everyone has the information to hand and there are no surprises or misunderstandings when we return.

👟 Plain black trainers can now be worn as everyday school footwear, provided they meet the guidance outlined below.

🏃 Children in Years 1-6 will come to school wearing their PE kit on their designated PE days. Reception children will continue to wear their usual school uniform every day and bring their PE kit into school separately.

📅 PE days for each year group will follow shortly, so please keep an eye out for those.

Please take a few minutes to look through the guidance before making any final purchases. We’ve tried to make everything as clear, practical and affordable as possible for our families.

Massive THANK YOU alert! 📢

This afternoon, our summer holiday club received an incredibly generous and unexpected delivery of goodies from Tesco Farnworth. This included bottles of juice, enough snacks to last us until the next holiday club and some bubbles for the children to play with outside! They heard about our club and sent these over as a treat. Community spirit at its greatest. 💥

Many thanks to Mrs Bessell, Miss Dempsey, Mr Edwards & Mr Pemberton for making the holiday club such a huge success over these last 2 weeks. We have another 2 weeks of fun to come!

What a fantastic year it has been in Year 5 Blue!

We’ve learnt so much, laughed even more, and made memories that will stay with us for a long time. It has been a real pleasure watching the children grow in confidence, develop new skills and support one another every step of the way.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for your thoughtful gifts, lovely cards and incredibly kind words, not just today, but throughout the whole year. Your support and kindness are so appreciated, and they really do mean the world to us.

Have the most amazing summer break, make lots of happy memories and enjoy every minute together. We can’t wait to hear all about your adventures in September…

Although, I do wonder how long it’ll take me to stop calling you Year 5 and remember you’re Year 6! 😄

🌟👏 A huge congratulations to all of our children who achieved 100% attendance this Summer Term, and an even bigger round of applause for those who managed an incredible 100% attendance across the whole school year! 👏🌟

That is no small feat! Between coughs, colds, tummy bugs and all the other little surprises the year likes to throw our way, you’ve somehow managed to dodge them all and be in school every single day. We’re not saying you have superpowers… but we’re not ruling it out either! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

Of course, we know that sometimes children need time off because they’re poorly or for other genuine reasons, and that’s exactly what should happen. This is simply a chance to celebrate those children who have been fortunate enough to make it through the term, or even the whole year, without missing a day.

We’re incredibly proud of every single one of our pupils, but today we’re giving a special shout out to our attendance champions. Your commitment to being in school every day has been fantastic, and we hope you’re as proud of yourselves as we are of you.

🎨 Yesterday, Year 1 Green enjoyed sharing the lovely story Love Monster before letting their imaginations run wild!

Inspired by the book, the children created some wonderful new friends for Love Monster, each one bursting with colour, creativity and their own unique personality.

The finished artwork was absolutely fantastic, and we think there may just be a few future illustrators in the making! 🌟
