Early Bird Plus – Session 2 🌟

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for Session 2 of our Early Bird Plus programme today.

We explored key topics including social communication and interaction, the double empathy concept, supporting communication, visual supports and structure, and the use of prompts. These discussions help build understanding and provide practical strategies to support autistic children in everyday life.

We appreciate everyone’s engagement, thoughtful contributions, and willingness to share experiences. Your commitment to learning and supporting your children makes these sessions so valuable.

We look forward to seeing you at the next session! 💜

🌊🏖️ Exploring the seaside through sensory storytelling 🏖️🌊

Sensory stories can provide meaningful opportunities for children working within the Engagement Model to explore, communicate and interact through multi-sensory experiences.

Using visuals, sounds, scents and tactile resources such as sand and shells, learners can engage with familiar themes in ways that support anticipation, curiosity and active participation.

Sensory stories help bring learning to life by creating immersive experiences that can be adapted to meet individual needs and interests.

What are your favourite resources to use in a sensory story session? 🌊✨

Ad - Gifted | A very exciting delivery arrived this week! 📦✨

Earlier this year, we attended the TES SEND North and spent ages at the stand. Honestly, we genuinely fell in love with their resources and spent so much time just playing and interacting with everything.
After bonding over a shared passion for supporting the SEND community, the lovely team at TTS kindly gifted us this sample bundle to use in our everyday work.

We are just cracking the box open today, but we are so excited to get these beautiful resources out into schools with our pupils and bring them along to show you at our upcoming training sessions.

A massive thank you to the team at TTS for their kindness! 🤍

A great day at the National Neurodiversity Show in Wigan!

We spent the day discovering new resources, meeting inspiring organisations and learning about the latest developments in neurodiversity and inclusion.

We’re coming away with plenty of ideas and inspiration to support our ongoing work with schools, families and young people.

We love supporting and developing the next generation of teachers! 🌟

Today was a fantastic opportunity to work alongside trainee teachers, sharing best practice, developing skills, and helping to build confidence for the classroom.

As a service, we are passionate about investing in future educators and providing meaningful experiences that help trainees thrive throughout their teacher training journey.

If you’re an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provider looking for support, collaboration opportunities, or placement partnerships, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can help shape the future of education.

We talk a lot about fidgets, but less about what they’re actually doing for the child.

Different tools provide different types of sensory input…and that matters.

Support isn’t about having more options. It’s about choosing the right one for the moment.
