Highly recommend Jade for anyone looking for a dog walker. She takes Skye for wild woodland walks on my busy tutoring days, and I'm so happy I've found someone I can trust. Skye is a big fan too!

Just a little updated ‘About me’. A lot has changed since my last ‘About me’ back when I started this page! I remember it so well, just thinking, ’Oh well, what have I got to lose…’ then along came my first enquiries 🥹 & then my first meet and greet, our little Teddy! I didn’t lose anything, I gained soooo more than I could’ve ever dreamed! That little niggling feeling inside me, I knew I’d be good at this one! Id lacked confidence in things I’d tried before but I knew I was at home in the outdoors and been a natural with animals since being a kid.

I knew I always wanted to work with animals but had no idea doing what? Until my best girl Lassie became too old to walk very far, I missed walking dogs so thought I’ll walk other people’s! But take them out to places me and my Lass loved so much. 🏔️🌲🌳 I vowed never to do a street walk! 😂

It’s been a learning curve and still is but I never stop reaching. I completed my first course back in January with the MDWA and plan to continue learning to better myself for the animals in my care ❤️

And thank you as always each and every one of you for believing & trusting in me with your precious fur babies! V

🎨 What a summer it's been so far!

I honestly can't believe how popular the art camps have been. When I first decided to run them, I wasn't really sure how they'd go... and now we've had 4 brilliant weeks, with all 4 of them completely sold out! 🥹

I thought I'd share a little look at what we've been getting up to...

🌊 Under the Sea
We kicked things off with fish sculptures and huge abstract underwater backgrounds. I loved seeing how different everyone's finished pieces were!

🤠 Toy Story
This one was SO much fun! We made slime, moving Rex dinosaurs, robots and Slinky Dogs. There was lots of building, making and figuring out how to get things moving!

🌵 Cactus Creations
The children decorated their own plant pots and created their very own cactus gardens. Lots of painting, construction and some very creative cactus designs!

TOMORROW'S ART CAMP ---> 🚀 Space Adventures
We will black off into space for the day, creating planets, galaxies and astronauts. Lots of experimenting with colour and different techniques.

And honestly, the best bit for me has been watching the children get completely lost in what they're doing.

They're making their own decisions, trying things out, solving little problems, chatting, laughing and being proud of what they've created.

That's exactly why I wanted to run these camps.

I really wanted to give children a whole day where they could just create. No right or wrong answer. No worrying about getting it perfect. Just have a go and see where their ideas take them. ❤️

And the fact that so many children have been asking when they can come back makes me very happy indeed! 🥰

A huge thank you to all the parents who have supported the camps so far. I genuinely can't thank you enough.

Bring on the rest of the summer! 🎨✨

Here are the highlights 😁

When you think of reaching maths, it's easy to picture pages of sums and written methods... but that's not how children learn best.

Before children can confidently add, subtract or use written methods, they need to understand what numbers actually mean. That's where these resources come in.

🎲 Giant fluffy dice make maths fun and get children learning through play.

➖ Number lines help children see where numbers live and make counting and calculating so much easier.

🔟 Ten frames are amazing for helping children spot patterns, build number bonds and really understand numbers.

🧱 Base ten helps children see place value instead of just trying to remember it.

🟡 Numicon is one of my favourites because it gives children a visual picture of numbers that just clicks for so many learners.

⭕ Sorting rings are brilliant for developing thinking skills, spotting patterns and using mathematical language.

These aren't just classroom extras—they're the tools that help children build real understanding and confidence. Once they've got that solid foundation, the written methods make so much more sense.

I'd love to know... did you use any of these when you were at school? Or are any of them new to you? 💛

I thought week 1, sea creature sculpture art, would be a tough one to beat, but week 2, Toy Story STEAM Toys, absolutely blew it out the ocean!!

Just take a look at how amazing these STEAM Toys are. The artists got absolutely stuck in and made the most magical toys, all of which have a moving part or mechanism. Who said engineering is for boys!?

**UPDATED TIMETABLE** A rare opportunity to book 1:1 summer tuition!

During term time, my timetable is usually fully booked, so the summer holidays are one of the only times I have availability for new pupils.

Whether your child would benefit from a confidence boost, wants to revisit tricky topics, or would simply feel more prepared for September, a few personalised sessions over the summer can make a real difference.

Summer booster sessions can help children:
🌟 Build confidence before the new school year.
📚 Consolidate learning from their current year group.
🚀 Pre-teach key concepts they'll meet in September.
🧠 Keep learning ticking over without it feeling like school.
💙 Enjoy lessons that are tailored to their interests, learning style and individual needs.

These sessions are ideal for children who:
✨ Have lost confidence.
✨ Need a little extra support.
✨ Are preparing for a new challenge.
✨ Thrive with one-to-one attention.

I've opened a limited number of summer booster sessions, and once term starts, my diary will be full again. However, there will be opportunities to work with one of the other amazing tutors on my team.
