Sgt Simpson: This is really important and I would like you all to share this message.
You'll see adverts "We're cheaper than a skip" and people appealing on social media for the best prices to get rid of their household rubble.
If you are paying less than about £140 for your rubbish to be taken away from your house, it is quite simply going to end up in a field and ruining our countryside.
No one can dispose of it for less, as council processing fees have to be paid.
Please play your part and only use companies that can show you their waste carrier licences and can evidence where the rubbish it is going to be disposed of properly.
