Are you interested in applying for a place at Northern Ballet School, an international centre of excellence in training for classical ballet and musical theatre? Our free summer course offers you a taste of what that training is really like.

This is a Free of charge event.

In-college event for students aged 13+.

These courses will introduce you to the building and facilities, some of the tutors, help to build your technique and performance, gain confidence and meet like-minded people.

As an extra treat you will get to watch the NBS Summer Show Dress rehearsal in The Dancehouse Theatre on Thursday 6th in the afternoon, getting a real flavour of life as an NBS student and the performance opportunities given.

Soooo….
I’ve not really posted much about our comp. In between the comp weekends, I decided it would be a great idea to move house 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Anyway, that aside, I just have to say how proud I am of my girls and boys that have danced over the past two weekends. They have made me so proud on and off stage and couldn’t ask for better pupils to teach. I am very lucky.

And for all the other schools and their students that attended the comp, well I am gobsmacked with the level of professionalism and politeness that has been brought to the comp. Every single dancer went out there and gave it their all, which made the competition fierce.

So thank you to all the dancers that performed, thank you to the parents for supporting their children to dance and living their best life and as always, thank you to all the teachers that have put their heart and souls into their students and their dances. You are all wonderful.

Now….. pass the wine 🍷 cheers to you all # # # # #

Dance Competition day tomorrow 🥰🥰🥰

Can’t believe tomorrow is our first day of our competition. Good luck to every single child taking part in our competition. Thank you to all the parents that support your children to do these competitions. I know it can be very stressful for the parents but it is all worth it to see your child on stage doing their thing and smashing it! And let’s not forget all the teachers that have put all their heart and soul in teaching the children to achieve their goals. It’s amazing watching the children grow and gain such confidence in themselves. Here’s to a great competition. X # # # # # #

CONFERENCE NEWS.

UKAdance are pleased to announce that Brandon Lawrence, Principal Dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet, will be joining us for our 121st Birthday Celebrations at the historic entertainment venue, the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

Brandon will be presenting workshops that give us a unique opportunity to be coached by such an incredible talent and get a glimpse of life as a Principal Dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet.

As we are celebrating a very special birthday, we are offering a special workshop for students! This will take place at 10am on Sunday 4th June 2023. Places will be very limited! There will also be a tap workshop following the ballet workshop which will also be for students. Details will be released soon.
