Oh my goodness, I cannot explain how excited I was to capture this beautiful smile from 3 week old Neve. This is one for the studio wall 😍

I’ve had the most wonderful 3 years of childminding and I’m so pleased to have so many lovely memories to take away from having this job. However, it is time to follow a dream and begin a new venture…

I will be keeping my Ofsted registration open but as it stands I will not be returning to childminding following my maternity leave 💙

And that’s a wrap, my maternity leave has officially started! My goodness so many mixed emotions this week! For the majority of these children I was their first setting and watched them grow from 7 month old babies to big boys and girls who are moving on now to pre school. 🥺 Most of the little ones have been with me since my doors opened 2 and a half years ago - so many memories made and too many adventures to count ☺️. What an absolute privilege this job is ❤️

I’m so excited for this next chapter but will miss these little people so much! ❤️

I’ll be back at some point next year with details of spaces available 🥰

Huge thank you to Gemma Marie Photography for capturing these beautiful Christmas photos of the little ones! ❤️

Photo day isn’t something I’ve done before but I wanted to do something special given all the children are leaving when I go on maternity leave 🥺

12 working days left and goodness me, I’m going to miss these little faces! 😢❤️

Lots of dinosaur fun today! The little ones enjoyed doing some mark making with the dinosaurs - we made lots of footprints and then had a go at stomping our own feet like dinosaurs! 🦕

We also tried a matching worksheet which the little ones really enjoyed and did brilliantly! 🥰. I have received some very special feedback from our local early years department following today’s visit to the setting and I’m looking forward to sharing that report soon ☺️.

Tuesday, we’re ready for you! 😆. Lots of fun activities planned following the little one’s current interests 🥰

It’s world nursery rhyme week this week and today’s rhyme has been ‘sleeping bunnies’ which happens to be one of our absolute favourites! 🐰

The little ones enjoyed practising their scissor skills when making our bunny headbands and of course we had lots of fun acting out the rhyme ‘again, again and again’ 😆. This rhyme is great for our physical development with lots of hopping and also great to highlight our listening skills with our abilities to follow the sequences 🥰

🌺 Lest we forget 🌺

The little ones enjoyed doing some Remembrance Day activities today - we made our own poppies using egg cartons and rice which was also good fine motor skill practise ☺️

We’ve also done lots of lovely crafts, including these beautiful handprint poppies ❤️
