I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much during a tutoring session before, this one was hilarious! My favourite sentence was:

‘Avoiding the cracks, the hairy penguin sprinted angrily’ 😂

I definitely recommend a silly sentence activity to support children with grammar. So many learning opportunities with lots of laughs along the way 😁

Happy Monday! I unfortunately have another update…

I’ve contacted everyone directly, but I just wanted to share on here too in case anyone misses a message.

Unfortunately, all sessions this week are cancelled following a nasty fall at the weekend. I managed to go over on my ankle and thankfully it isn’t broken, but it is badly sprained- so I’m currently on crutches and sporting a fracture boot! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel like a cat with nine lives at this point… I don’t know what else 2026 can throw at me! 😂

I’m really hoping that with a week of rest I’ll be back on my feet and able to get back to sessions as soon as possible. I’m so sorry for the disruption, especially at the start of the new school year. The timing could not be any worse! See you all soon ❤️

WE’RE BACK!

We’re so excited to announce that Wellbeing in the Woods is back! We’ve missed you all and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for our first workshop on Sunday 27th September at our usual venue, St George’s Primary School.

It feels crazy to be writing this already, but we’ll be embracing all things AUTUMN! 😮

As we head into the colder months, we know the British weather might not always be on our side! We now have access to an indoor area so if the weather gets a little too wild, we can bring the children inside for a snack and some cosy indoor activities.

With the new term fast approaching, I’m now organising my diary for September!

I’ve sent out a newsletter this morning containing some important updates ahead of the new term. Please could you let me know:

⭐️ Any changes, holidays or upcoming events I should be aware of so I can plan your child’s sessions effectively.

2 years ago today, I became the proud owner of a VW camper van and turned my vision into a reality! Little did I know that within 6 months, I’d leave the school environment forever and be working from my van full time… and I’ve never looked back!

The Mobile Classroom has become so much more than I ever imagined it would be. I’ve worked with so many amazing children and families, I’ve watched children’s confidence grow, celebrated countless wins and been able to create a learning environment that helps children feel safe. I now also work alongside the Local Authority, providing alternative education for children who need something different from the traditional school environment- an achievement I’m so proud of!

I’ve also built another business alongside tutoring with .d and The Wellbeing Collective is going from strength to strength, and I’m now a self-confessed Canva addict, making resources that bring the fun back into learning (and cost me a small fortune in ink and laminating pouches 🙃)

Here’s to 2 years of The Mobile Classroom, happy van-iversary to me!

Today’s phonics activity was good enough to eat! 😋

We’ve been looking at the different ways we can spell the ‘er’ sound, sorting our cookies into the correct jars- er, ir and ur. My passenger really enjoyed this activity 😊
