A Magical week in nursery ✨🦋

What a wonderful week we’ve had filled with magic, nature and lots of cuddles! Releasing our butterflies – The children were so excited to watch our beautiful butterflies that Mandy brought in take their first flight. We talked about the butterfly life cycle and showed such care and gentleness as we released them into the garden. 🌸🦋Magic Potions – Our little scientists got busy making their very own magical potions! We explored colours, textures, mixing and measuring while using our imaginations to create some very special recipes. 🧙‍♀️🌈

🐩💕 Poodle Visitors – We were also delighted to welcome some gorgeous miniature poodles to nursery! They are Tash’s puppies and they will be visiting nursery frequently. The children loved meeting them, learning how to approach animals safely and gently, and talking about how we care for our pets. 🐾

There was so much wonder, curiosity, communication, creativity and learning through play happening throughout the week 🌟

We love creating experiences that children will remember and talk about long after the day is over. ❤️

☀️ Our first week of the summer holidays! ☀️

We’ve had such a lovely week making the most of the sunshine! 🌼💛

🌿 Acorns have enjoyed spending time outdoors, cooling off with water play and getting creative with some mark making. 💦🎨

🐿️ Squirrels have had lots of fun playing outside, exploring and enjoying the fresh air. 🌳✨

🦉 Wise Owls have been on lots of walks to the park, making the most of the beautiful weather, and even had a very special visit from some adorable puppies! 🐶💚

What a fantastic start to the summer holidays! We can’t wait for more fun-filled adventures next week! ☀️🌈

Our Little Stars Are Ready to Shine! ✨🎓

Today we celebrated the graduation of our amazing Wise Owls children. We are so proud of everything they have achieved during their time with us. Watching them grow in confidence, make friendships, learn new skills, and become ready for their next big adventure has been a privilege.

Although it’s sad to say goodbye, we know each and every one of you will do incredible things at school. Keep being curious, kind, brave, and always believe in yourselves.

To all our wonderful families, thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s early years journey. We wish you all a happy, safe summer and every success as your little ones begin this exciting new chapter.

☀️ Our Week at Nursery ☀️

We’ve been making the most of the beautiful sunshine this week! 🌞💛 The children have loved cooling off in the paddling pools 💦, enjoying lots of water play, and spending time playing in the shade to stay nice and cool 🌳🧸. It’s been a week full of smiles, laughter, and summer fun! 😄🌈

Just a reminder that next Friday the 17th is the last day of term for our term-time children! 🎉 We hope everyone has a wonderful summer break. ☀️🌼

🌿🦉 Our Wise Owls had the most amazing school leavers trip to Tree Buds! 💚

The children enjoyed a fantastic day exploring the forest, climbing, swinging, sliding and relaxing in the hammocks during free play. They roasted marshmallows over the fire and made delicious s’mores, met and fed the friendly chickens, completed a Gruffalo scavenger hunt, and got creative by making beautiful nature necklaces. 🍃🔥🐔

It was a day full of adventure, laughter, curiosity and wonderful memories as we celebrated the end of their nursery journey. We are so proud of each and every one of our Wise Owls and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll achieve as they begin their next adventure at school. ❤️🎓

EYFS Fun in the Sun – Summer Holidays Are Almost Here! 🌞

The countdown to the summer holidays is on! ☀️ Looking for fun ways to keep your little ones busy without spending lots of money?

We have some suggestions for you -

* 🦖 Visit Bolton Museum, Aquarium and Archive – it’s free to enter and has dinosaurs, an aquarium, Egyptian mummies and often free family activities during the school holidays.
* 📚 Join the Summer Reading Challenge and free storytimes and craft sessions at Bolton’s libraries. Many libraries run extra holiday activities.
* 🌳 Explore Jumbles Country Park for a family walk, bug hunting, duck spotting and a picnic.
* 🛝 Spend the day at Queen’s Park with its playground, open spaces and café.
* 🌿 Go on a nature adventure at Moses Gate Country Park and see how many birds, butterflies and mini beasts you can find.
* 🌲 Visit Moss Bank Park for the playground, woodland walks and plenty of space to run around.
* 🚲 Take bikes or scooters to Leverhulme Park and enjoy the play area and open parkland.
* 🍃 Explore Seven Acres Country Park with a scavenger hunt or teddy bears’ picnic.
* 🎨 Keep an eye on Bolton Council and Visit Bolton for free family events, crafts and performances throughout the summer holidays.

🚓👮‍♂️ On Friday, our Wise Owls had a very exciting visit from a police officer! 👮‍♀️🚓

The children enjoyed learning all about the important role of a police officer and how they help to keep people safe in our community.

The officer spoke to the children about the different types of police dogs and the special jobs they do. The Wise Owls loved asking questions and finding out more about police work! 🐕💙

One of the highlights of the visit was getting the chance to sit inside the police van and explore some of the equipment used by officers. 🚔✨

It was a fantastic hands-on experience that helped bring our learning about community helpers to life.

A huge thank you to our visiting officer for taking the time to share their knowledge and give the children such a memorable morning! 😊💙

This week at nursery, we’ve had lots of fun across all of our rooms! 🎉

🦉 Wise Owls celebrated a special birthday by baking some delicious cakes and enjoyed getting stuck into lots of messy play with slime.

🐿️ Squirrels had a fantastic time exploring coloured shaving foam during messy play and made the most of the outdoor area, enjoying plenty of fresh air and active play.

🌰 Acorns helped celebrate the lovely Michelle’s birthday! The babies had lots of fun playing with balloons, exploring the kitchen corner and taking part in sensory activities.

It’s been another wonderful week full of learning, exploration and smiles! 💛

☀️ What a fantastic Half Term Week at nursery! ☀️

We’ve certainly made the most of the lovely weather and enjoyed lots of fun outdoors! 🌞

💧 Our Acorns have loved cooling off with some exciting water play activities, splashing and exploring together.

🌿 The Squirrels have had a wonderful time playing in the Wise Owl garden, developing their physical skills and imaginations, as well as enjoying lots of fun in the paddling pool!

🎨 Our Wise Owls have been busy getting creative with a range of messy play activities, exploring different textures, colours and materials while having lots of fun with their friends.

We look forward to seeing all our children on Monday!
