We raised an amazing £40 today for Red Nose Day and comic relief. Thank you so much for your efforts and donations . 🫶🏽🎈♥️

Please be aware , United Utilities are doing essential roadworks on Carlton Road from Monday 26th For approximately 7 days.

Please find appropriate and safe places to park , whilst being considerate of our neighbours.

Happy pancake day / Shrove Tuesday .

We have lots of fun activities planned this week, and this was just one of our ideas.

We also have some fab ideas you could do at home too;

Babies : Lots of messy play is a good idea, but team it with a song with some gross motor skills (eg clapping) . Keep it repetitive with elements of surprise to keep them engaged . Eventually they can start to copy your sounds you are singing and movements you are making with your hands .

Toddlers : really get them using their fine and gross motor skills with play dough pancakes , flour and toppings . Practice writing patterns or numbers in the flour with their fingers? What shapes can you make with the pancake dough?

Pre-Schoolers : Make a list of ingredients you need to buy for pancakes- can you count how many things we need to buy? What sounds can you hear and write from the list ? Maybe even some dramatic play ; pretend you are in a pancake shop and do some role playing .

It’s national toothache day today, so we wanted to highlight a really important issue ; tooth decay!

Did you know that in Bolton , we have one of the highest areas of tooth decay in the UK!?

We work daily with the children on brushing their teeth in nursery , and here is just one of the activities we have set up today.

Abacus Preschool Nursery

We are extremely excited to be able to offer our Children swimming lessons. We will open up more days and times upon availability and demand. Our first swimming lesson of 2024 starts next week. We are so delighted to be able to bring this service back to you.
