We could not be prouder of our Year 11 pupils after a wonderful GCSE Results Day at Bolton School!

There were some very happy faces as pupils opened their results, and plenty to celebrate across the School too. This year saw our strongest collective GCSE results in several years, with 58% of grades awarded at 9 to 7 and an overall pass rate of 98%.

Congratulations to everyone who received their results. We hope you enjoyed the moment after all the hard work that went into getting there!

Huge congratulations to Harriet Kennedy, one of Bolton School’s top-performing GCSE students, who achieved an incredible eleven grade 9s 🎉

“I’m really shocked because I didn’t expect it, but I’m very happy,” she said.

“I don’t think it’s sunk in yet.”

With plenty of options to choose from, Harriet is considering studying Biology, Physics and Maths at A-level.

Asked what advice she would give to future students, Harriet said: “Work hard, but remember to take time for yourself.”

A wonderful day filled with proud moments and celebrations as we mark the achievements of our students. Congratulations to everyone on their fantastic results and all the hard work that has brought them here!

We are delighted to welcome our Year 11 students back this morning to collect their GCSE results.

The School has much to celebrate, with 16% of students achieving the top grade of 9, 36% achieving grades 9–8 and 58% achieving grades 9–7. More importantly, today’s results reflect the commitment and hard work our students have shown throughout their GCSE journey.

With over two thirds of the cohort achieving A*-B grades and 36% of entries graded A*-A, our students have secured an impressive range of university places and degree apprenticeships.
