We're looking for respite foster carers to support children and young people whilst also providing valuable breaks for our full-time foster carers.

A few days of your time can make a lifetime of difference. Whether it's for a weekend, or a few days in the school holidays.

You don't need to commit to fostering full-time to make a lasting impact.

This National Relaxation Day, we're encouraging our foster carers to take a moment for themselves - whether that's enjoying a quiet cuppa, taking a walk, reading a book or simply taking a few breaths.

Remember, looking after your own wellbeing helps you continue providing the best possible care for children and young people in your home.

Tomorrow is National Relaxation Day, so today our team took some time out to enjoy a guided meditation session together.

In the midst of busy schedules, it was a welcome opportunity to pause, reset, and focus on our wellbeing. Taking care of ourselves is just as important as taking care of others, and even a few moments of mindfulness can make a real difference.

💙 How are you planning to relax this National Relaxation Day?

Sometimes, the smallest moments make the biggest impact.

Free meals for children during the summer holidays.

For many families, the summer holidays can bring added pressure when it comes to providing meals.

Several UK supermarkets are offering free or low-cost meals for children this summer, including Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.

Did you know your family pet can support a child's development in so many ways.
Pets can help children to:
🔸Feel more relaxed and settled.
🔸Build routines and responsibility.
🔸Experience comfort and companionship.

Your pet will simply be part of the assessment process to make sure they are safe to be around children.
