⭐ 16-18 maths achievement is up 3.5% - achieving the national benchmark!

Yesterday, our teaching teams came together for Bolton College’s first Teaching, Learning & Assessment Conference, a day focused on preparing for the year ahead and one clear priority: being the very best we can be for our learners.

The conference gave colleagues the opportunity to reconnect, share best practice, develop their skills and focus on how we can continue to raise the standard of teaching, learning and assessment across the College.

We were delighted to welcome Luke Mitchell as our keynote speaker, helping to set the tone for a day of reflection, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Throughout the day, colleagues explored how we can better understand our learners, strengthen learning and consolidation, and continue moving our practice from expected to strong and beyond.

As we prepare for the new academic year, investing in our people is a vital part of our ambition. By giving our teaching teams the time and space to learn, collaborate and develop, we can create even stronger experiences and outcomes for our learners.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and deliver the conference, our session leads, Luke, and all of our colleagues who contributed so positively throughout the day.

A brilliant way to welcome our teaching teams back and set the tone for the year ahead.

We’ve already seen lots of very happy learners this morning - and there are plenty of smiles from the Bolton College team too!
