Aspire Dance & Stage

Over the last couple of weeks I have been doing one-to-ones with our Pre-Pro students.

We use this time to review their learnings from the last few months, acknowledge progress and set action steps for areas of development.

It’s been lovely to talk to the students and get to know them and their style of learning/teaching on a deeper level.

One thing I noticed during nearly all of the one-to-ones, was that upon being asked “how are you?” the students all replied with “good thank you, how are you?”

It sounds really simple and unrelated to dance, but it’s so relevant. In all areas of life. In all careers. No matter how old you are, asking someone how THEY are is so underrated. It’s manners, it’s curiosity, it’s maturity.

It made me smile, so I thought I’d share it with you all 🥰💛

I have found myself having this conversation with multiple parents/students recently.

Some people adore dancing and want to work within the industry, they just don’t want to make a career out of professional dance or teaching.
