Meet Our Group Leader
Prof. Peter Myler
Professor of Engineering Analysis and Design

Prof. Peter Myler has conducted research and consultancy in composite materials, finite element analysis and crashworthiness. He has worked applying Finite Element Analysis since 1980 and the testing/R&D of FR Composites since 1982. He has published over one hundred research papers, several book chapters and supervised around thirty PhD students to completion.

He holds a PhD in Composite Materials and a Master’s degree in Applied Mechanics. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. He is also currently the education officer for the region.
