Emergency First Response Course

Be Ready, Be Confident!

Are you a passionate diver who wants to be prepared for any situation? Our Emergency First Response (EFR) course gives you the skills to act when it matters most.

✨ The EFR is a comprehensive CPR and first aid program designed for everyday emergencies, taught in a supportive, hands‑on environment. It is also a required certification for the PADI Rescue Diver course, so if you’re planning to take that next step, this training is essential.

💪 Primary Care (CPR)
⚫Learn how to respond to life‑threatening emergencies
⚪Practice CPR and rescue breathing
⚪Manage serious medical situations such as cardiac arrest or stroke
⚪Handle suspected spinal injuries

⚡ Secondary Care (First Aid)
⚫Provide first aid for non‑life‑threatening injuries
⚪Bandage and splint broken bones
⚪Treat burns, bites, and stings
⚪Deliver essential care until professional help arrives

🌟 Confidence Through Practice You’ll gain hands‑on experience with realistic scenarios, building the confidence to act quickly and effectively. These skills can be applied in diving contexts, such as responding to barotrauma, decompression illness, or marine life injuries, but the foundation is general CPR and first aid.

🚀 Don’t wait. Be prepared, be confident, and dive safe. And if you’re aiming for your Rescue Diver certification, this course is the step you need to get there.

🌟 Who Can Join? There are no prerequisites, age limits, or water sessions required. This course is open to everyone!

📚 How It Works Theory is delivered through e‑learning, allocated to you as soon as your place is confirmed. Then join us in the classroom for practical skills and confidence‑building.

Cost: £125 (Inc. Materials)

Starts: 10am Sunday the 2nd of August

📩 To book your spot, email: [email protected] or call 01204 394441 to secure your place.

📅 Sunday 19th July | 🕘 Meet at 9:00 AM | 📍 Capernwray Diving Bell

Women’s Dive Day has become a global movement bringing divers together with a shared connection to the ocean and a desire to protect it. What started as a celebration has grown into something more powerful: a day to build confidence, strengthen community, and turn passion into action.

In 2026, the focus on sharks, rays, and citizen science highlights the role every diver can play in protecting marine life, turning curiosity into real impact. From logging sightings to contributing critical data, each dive becomes part of a larger effort to understand and safeguard the ocean.

We'll be a little late as Women’s Dive Day is 18 July! (We're diving on the 19th!)
While there aren't any sharks or skates in capers we'll do our best cleaning up as we always do to help keep it clean and beautiful!

Join us for the day after women's dive day for a chilled day of diving at Capernwray! We'll meet at the diving bell at 9am to chat through the plan and buddy up. Expect 2–3 dives depending on what everyone’s up for.

🧰 What You'll Need
⚪Entry fee to Capernwray

⚪Need to rent? Equipment can be rented from our shop on Saturday!
