Anderton Centre’s popular Aqua Park obstacle course achieves gold standard 🌊🏆

The Centre, which is part of the University of Greater Manchester Group, is located at Rivington Lower Reservoir, on the border of Chorley and Bolton and is renowned for rigorous water safety compliance and fully qualified instruction.

RLSS Gold Status means the Aqua Park meets operational excellence and rigorous equipment compliance.

Jason Pendlebury, Anderton Centre CEO, said: “We are delighted that our popular Aqua Park has been accredited Gold Status, following a tremendous amount of hard work by our team.

“The Aqua Park has proved a big hit with people of all ages since it opened and we are proud that it has now been awarded Gold Status by the Royal Life Saving Society UK.”

The Aqua Park closes for the winter at the end of September and reopens in May.

Eligible new students can get their free MenB vaccination on campus this autumn.

You’re eligible if you:
• were born on or after 21 July 2001; and
• are starting an undergraduate course for the first time in autumn 2026.

No appointment needed – just walk in:

Tuesday 6 October | 10am–2pm
Tuesday 10 November | 10am–2pm
Chancellor's Mall

The MenB vaccine is given in two doses, at least four weeks apart. Already had your first dose? You can come along for your second.
