Our leavers party was a great success, as you can see from the photographs, everyone had an amazing time! Mrs Biggs and all the staff wish the children every happiness and success in their School life. It has been a privilege being a part of the first steps in these children's lives.

To all our 2025 Pre School leavers,

We have come to that time of year again, when our amazing Pre School children start to leave to begin their new adventure at School! We are going to be so sad to see you go, but so proud of every one of you. We are confident that you will be entering school; focused and with the enthusiasm that you have shown at Nursery.

Please let us know how you are getting on at school because even though you have left, you are certainly not forgotten. You are part of Meadow Hill Education and Arts extended family, and you always will be so.

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow my daughter Natalie has organised a very special bike ride.

The event is 'Roll and Raise'. Natalie is doing 45 miles from Bolton Arena to Blackpool Tower in her wheelchair! This event is for a very worthy charity..

Motor Neurone Disease Charity

Natalie played the part of Shelley in Coronation Street for three months, her character was suffering from motor Neurone disease. this experience and research showed Natalie the devastating effect that the disease has on the body and mind. there is currently no cure or medication for this vile invasion of the body.

Natalie may be my Daughter, but I am so proud of her. She has put her own disabilities and pain aside to undertake this event in her wheelchair for the full 45 miles! The selflessness and enthusiasm Natalie is portraying is an inspiration!!

This is Natalie's second year doing 'Roll and Raise' and we are hoping to surpass the amazing amount of money she raised last year, £2195!

To support Natalie and this amazing charity I am walking my Pre School children and their older brothers and sisters just outside St Annes to the Blackpool Tower. The walk is 1.5 miles long and at the end of the walk the children will receive a stick of rock and donkey ride!

the walk will start at 2pm. I hope all the parents will be at the tower to cheer on all of the children and riders!

I started Roll and Raise after being part of the MND storyline on Coronation Street. The strength, courage, and dignity of the people living with MND inspired me to do something. To give back. To raise voices, funds, and hope.

💙 MND is a terminal illness that affects how people walk, talk, eat and breathe. There is no cure… yet. But together, we can make a difference.
This is more than a bike ride. It’s more than a walk. It’s a movement of love, purpose, and community.

Last month, Pre- School enjoyed a trip to Queen’s Park to see the beginning of Spring. We took the Bus outside Nursery to begin our adventure. The children were so excited to be on a Bus and were very well behaved. Once we got off the bus, we entered Queen’s Park and straight away saw some purple crocuses. We then walked towards the War memorial and some of the children remembered that the flowers associated with Remembrance Day are Poppies. We then came to the Duck Pond, where we saw some baby swans and learnt a baby swan is called a Signet!! We continued around the park, led by Mr Brewster Valentino. We saw some more lovely flowers such as Rhododendrons, Daffodils, Cherry Blossom, Snowdrops and Daises. We then got back on the Bus to Nursery ready to have some delicious afternoon tea.

Thursday 6th March is World Book Day. If you would like to bring your child dressed up please do! At Meadow hill every day is Book day so we don't make too much of a fuss over World Book Day.

This is a photograph of darling Darcey Mae. She has been my best friend for 13 years and it is with great sadness that she had to leave our Meadow Hill family on Friday 7th February. Everybody is devastated. She was such a kind, loving dog but with a Biggs attitude. Her presence will always be in Meadow Hill and my love for her will never die.

I'd like to thank all my staff for their fantastic support as always.

Once again Meadow Hill Education and Arts Nursery sets the trend and others follow! We were the first nursery in Bolton, (if not in the North West) to offer to teach our children the skills of golf! We have a specialist coach who attends nursery on a weekly basis and who teaches all the skills associated with the sport of Golf to our Preschool children. This has been one of our specialist sports for nearly two years. We try to be innovative and think outside the box to offer our children experiences they would not get from any other nursery. Our children absolutely thrive in these lessons and can both "putt" and "chip" the ball with accuracy. Watch out, we may have the next Tiger Woods in our nursery! Other nurseries in Bolton are now following our Lead!!!!

As you are probably aware there are riots taking place on Chorley New Road at approximately 8pm. We have been advised by the police that there is no need for us to close Nursery at the moment. Please can all parents leave enough time to collect their children on time, this is for the safety of not only your children but our staff. Nursery closes at 6pm.

When you collect your children the main door to Nursery will be locked as an extra safety precaution. Please call before you collect or when you are at the door to notify us. A member of staff will bring your child to the door. The police will be updating us should anything change. We will update via Facebook.

Pre School had a fantastic morning at Bolton's Museum and Aquarium. We explored the Eygpt room, and even got a chance to dress up! The children enjoyed looking and learning where the different species of fish were from and finding them on the map. As a special treat from Miss Sonya for being so good, the children enjoyed a ride on the carousel and a special volcanic rock to take home to remember our last trip together!
