HER DREAMS OF TENNESSEE ARE GONE ๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The fiancรฉ of NBC Los Angeles reporter Eliana Moreno has spoken publicly for the first time since her death in a helicopter crash in Los Angeles.

Robert Barrientos shared a heartbreaking tribute to Eliana, remembering her passion for her work and the future they had planned together. He said the couple hoped to eventually retire, move to Tennessee, buy some land and care for animals.

Moreno, an aerial reporter for NBC4 and Telemundo 52, was killed on September 15 when the news helicopter she was aboard crashed in Chatsworth while covering a deadly bus collision. Pilot George Marciniw and a third person on the ground also died.

Barrientos said he is struggling to put his grief into words, but that Elianaโ€™s memory will remain with him forever. Her family has also asked people to continue remembering Eliana, the other victims and everyone affected by the tragedy.

HE QUESTIONED THE DETECTIVE ABOUT THE MURDER ๐Ÿ˜ณ

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A dramatic moment unfolded during Dr. Tomasz Kosowskiโ€™s murder trial as he cross-examined lead detective Colin Bolton about the prosecutionโ€™s theory of what happened to attorney Steven Cozzi.

Kosowski asked Bolton to walk through the alleged sequence of events, including the claim that Cozziโ€™s body was transported and later disposed of. He then asked directly whether he allegedly acted alone.

โ€œDid I act alone?โ€ Kosowski asked. Bolton responded that, based on the evidence he had seen, โ€œit appears so.โ€

Kosowski represented himself during the bench trial and repeatedly challenged the prosecutionโ€™s evidence and theory of the case. Cozziโ€™s remains have never been recovered, while prosecutors presented forensic, surveillance and other evidence they said connected Kosowski to the killing.

A judge found Kosowski guilty of first-degree murder on September 23, 2026. The case has drawn significant attention because of the unusual courtroom proceedings and Kosowskiโ€™s decision to represent himself.

350 CLASSIC CHEVYS HIT THE AUCTION BLOCK ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A Nebraska couple is preparing to part with a massive collection of classic Chevrolet cars after a housing developer purchased land surrounding their property.

Tim and Mary Robinson spent decades building the collection, which includes hundreds of vintage Chevrolets, including Impalas, Bel Airs, Tri-Five models and other classics. Reports say the collection once grew to nearly 450 vehicles, with roughly 350 now headed for auction.

The couple said they received notice earlier this year and were given a short period to decide whether to fight to keep the collection or sell it as development moved into the surrounding area.

The auction is scheduled for October 3, 2026, in Fremont, Nebraska, with both in-person and online bidding available. For the Robinsons, decades of collecting will soon become a new chapter as the cars find new owners across the country.

BABY GORILLA GETS HIS FIRST CT SCAN ๐Ÿฆโค๏ธ

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ One-year-old silverback gorilla Bakari recently underwent his first routine medical checkup after arriving at Disneyโ€™s Animal Kingdom in Florida.

Veterinary doctors performed a dental examination, skull X-rays and a CT scan to make sure the young gorilla was healthy and settling in well at his new home.

Bakari had to be safely anesthetized during the procedures, allowing the veterinary team to carry out the detailed examinations.

And honestlyโ€ฆ imagine the surprise if a 1-year-old gorilla somehow woke up in the middle of a CT scan! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ˜ณ Thankfully, the medical team was able to complete the checkup safely.

UPS DRIVER HONORED FOR STOPPING NYC STABBER

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A UPS driver is being celebrated as a hero after helping police catch the man accused of a chilling stabbing attack on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

George Zamot was in the area in July when 51-year-old Raul Morales allegedly stabbed two men in unprovoked attacks, shouting "Allahu Akbar" during both, according to police. Zamot reportedly witnessed the assault, called 911, and followed the suspect to his apartment building, helping officers pinpoint his location. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch later credited a "good Samaritan" with leading officers to where the suspect was hiding.

Morales was taken into custody after barricading himself inside the building and was later charged with attempted murder and hate crimes. Prosecutors say he shouted phrases including "Justice for Islam" during the attack. Both victims survived.

Zamot recently spoke at a rally outside the United Nations General Assembly calling for action against antisemitism, sharing his account of that day alongside survivors and community leaders.

CLIMBER SURVIVES 500-FT FALL, CRAWLS TO SAFETY

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A first-time climber's dream summit turned into a nightmare on Mount Shasta after he went sliding nearly 500 feet down the mountain, then had to crawl through the night to safety.

Zubayir Kazi, 24, of San Jose, reached the summit around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 after setting out early that morning. According to the U.S. Forest Service, he attempted to glissade down the mountain's Avalanche Gulch, lost control, and slid roughly 500 feet. "Everything I had with me just goes out of my hand and I find myself flying down the mountain," he told NBC Bay Area.

The fall left him with significant lacerations and foot injuries. Painful swelling forced him to remove his boots, and he crawled through the night down the rest of the gulch to reach the remote Horse Camp Cabin, with no phone, food, water or light.

His cellphone had died shortly after he summited, and friends reported him missing the next day when they couldn't reach him. Search and rescue teams, including a CHP helicopter crew, launched a search of the area.

Kazi was ultimately found inside the cabin by another hiker who alerted rangers. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

CHINA SEIZES F-35 STEALTH JET PARTS

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The Pentagon is investigating how sensitive parts from the F-35 stealth fighter jet ended up in the hands of the Chinese government after being mistakenly diverted to Hong Kong.

According to Bloomberg, the parts, an F-35 cockpit canopy and weapons-bay door, went missing after being shipped from Australia to the United States over the summer for repair or disposal. The shipment was reportedly rerouted through South Korea and Hong Kong, where it was taken by Chinese authorities. It is not yet clear how or why the diversion happened.

The parts are coated with radar-absorbing material that helps give the F-35 its stealth capabilities, and experts have raised concerns that China could attempt to reverse engineer the technology.

The F-35 Joint Program Office confirmed the "shipment issue" in a statement, saying it is "actively working with U.S. authorities and industry partners to retrieve these components, investigate the incident, and place safeguards to avoid a future occurrence."

Australia's Defense Minister Richard Marles confirmed his country is assisting the U.S.-led investigation but downplayed the severity, saying there is "a sense of comfort" that especially sensitive equipment was not involved. China's Foreign Ministry has said it is not aware of the incident, and the parts have not yet been returned.

JASON LANDRY'S REMAINS IDENTIFIED AFTER 6 YEARS

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A six-year mystery has finally reached a painful answer. The remains of Jason Landry, a Texas State University student who vanished while driving home for Christmas break in 2020, have been positively identified.

According to the Texas Attorney General's Office, DNA testing confirmed the remains, found Sept. 8 near Luling, belong to Landry, who was 21 at the time of his disappearance. A local resident discovered the remains while clearing land in Caldwell County, about five miles from where Landry's crashed car was found.

Landry disappeared on Dec. 13, 2020, while driving from San Marcos to his family's home in Missouri City. His car was found wrecked and abandoned on Salt Flat Road shortly after midnight, but there was no confirmed sighting of him afterward. Investigators believe it may have been a single-vehicle accident, though authorities say the remains provide no further insight into the cause or manner of death, and no evidence of foul play has been found.

The case drew years of searches by law enforcement, volunteers and private investigators. Attorney General Ken Paxton said the Landry family has "suffered an unimaginable tragedy" and remains in the office's prayers.

BEACH BOYS ABRUPTLY CANCEL COMEBACK SHOWS

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The Beach Boys have once again pulled the plug on a string of concerts, canceling four shows just one day before they were set to return to the stage.

The band was scheduled to perform Thursday at The Big E Arena in West Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by stops in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and two shows in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. All four dates were canceled without an official explanation, with venues citing "circumstances beyond the control" of the venue.

The cancellations mark the band's first scheduled shows since frontman Mike Love announced in July that the group needed a "short break to recharge." That break came after the band postponed more than 30 dates on their Pet Sounds 60th anniversary tour due to unspecified health issues affecting Love, the only original member still touring with the group.

The Beach Boys are currently set to resume their tour Oct. 9 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Illinois, with additional shows planned in Cincinnati and Nashville.
