🚀🧪 What an incredible morning we had with Explosive Erica from Mad Science! We were amazed by explosive experiments as we learned all about rockets, rocket fuel and the exciting journey to Mars. The children were completely wowed and discovered so many fascinating facts along the way!

🌎✨There will be a Mad Science Club running after school on Thursdays next half-term. Keep an eye out for the letter coming home tonight for more information! 🚀🔬

💻🌟 Introducing our NEW Digital Leaders! 🌟💻

We are very excited to introduce our first ever Digital Leaders at school! 🎉

Our Digital Leaders will be helping and supporting children, particularly in our younger year groups, as we continue to develop our use of technology across school. They will be sharing their knowledge, helping others to use technology confidently and responsibly - becoming our very own digital experts! 🤩

📱 They will also be making occasional appearances on our page, sharing online safety tips and messages to help our children stay safe and make positive choices online.

📰 And that's not all… our Digital Leaders will be creating and sharing a termly Digital Newsletter, keeping our school community up to date with all things digital!

We are so proud to be launching this new role and can't wait to see what our Digital Leaders achieve. 🌟

In Outdoor Learning yesterday, Year 5 enjoyed all things Solar System! We have been learning about the solar system and the structure and organisation of the planets. In the forest, we made a model of the planets using natural materials we found around. We had a blast!🌍🪐👽🚀👨‍🚀

🤓🧮WOW Whiteboard Work in 6H!🧮🤓
In Year 6H we have been using hinged questions in Maths to test our knowledge of Highest Common Factor and Lowest Common Multiple and Miss Holt has been blown away with the reasoning.
“The HCF is 6. Therefore, I know 6 is a factor of 18, and the HCF itself is 6. This shows my understanding of what a common factor is and what the word highest tells me in the question.”
“The LCM of 6 and 8 is 24. The multiples of 6 include 6, 12, 18, 24, 30... and the multiples of 8 include 8, 16, 24, 32... Therefore, 24 is the lowest number that appears in both lists and so I know it has to be the lowest common multiple.”

We are SO proud of all the effort and hard work the children have put in at The Learning Lodge this week!
They got stuck into all of the activities, kept their busy brains working and even made sure those homework tasks were completed too!
It’s been lovely to see everyone getting involved, having fun and learning along the way.
We can’t wait to see all your smiling faces again next week! 🌟
