It is with great sadness that on Thursday 24th October Stepping Stones Day Nursery will be closing its doors after 29 years. It is hard to know where to begin but we would like to thank all the parents and families that have supported us, all the staff that have worked with us, and all the children who have given us so many wonderful memories. If you have any we would love you to share them with us.
With love from the team at Stepping Stones

We just want to say goodbye to all our Pre-school children who we have loved watching grow and develop . They are ready for their new journey in September and we hope you send us some photographs of them in their uniforms as they will be missed in the new termπ.
We will re-open on Tuesday 4th September and welcome some new arrivals to do it all over again π.

From September, even more parents of primary school children in England will be able to access before and after-school childcare such as regular provision that runs between 8am and 6pm or later.
If eligible, you can use Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit Childcare to help pay for wraparound childcare.

If your child is due to start accessing their place in September and you have already been issued with a code, please remember that you will need to reconfirm your details in your choices account (see graphic below) by the date given to you on application. If you do not reconfirm by this date, or by the end of August at the very latest, this may result in your child missing out on their place in September.

Singing nursery rhymes with babies and young children will help them learn to talk.
As they get familiar with the rhythm and the words of the rhyme, they will start to copy the sounds you're making.
Watch closely how they learn as they join in with the actions and words.
Here is a lovely rhyme with actions: https://wordsforlife.org.uk/activities/row-row-row-your-boat/
