Eagley Infant School

We’ve been blown away over the last couple of days by our Musical Theatre Club’s performance of The Wizard of Oz - with a twist of Wicked!

At just 5, 6 and 7 years old, they showed unbelievable talent, resilience and confidence. From learning songs and lines to wowing the audiences, they’ve absolutely embodied our mission statement: Dream, Believe, Shine.

Today the sun shone for our first Sunshine Stories event - a special wellbeing afternoon that combined our two favourite things: outdoor learning and reading.☀️🌻📖

Families joined us to share stories and show our children just how important reading is for fun, calm and curiosity.

What a fabulous turnout we had today for our annual well-being walk.

Over 70 families joined us for a 4km walk around the local countryside.

We feel truly blessed to have such a supportive school community with amazing countryside on our doorstep to enjoy.

We’re thrilled to share some very special news with our Eagley Infant School community!

Our very own Will Edgar — who was performing in front of thousands at the AO Arena just last week — is returning to his roots to give our children and staff a special performance on Wednesday morning.

This visit is a wonderful treat for our children and a lovely chance to demonstrate first hand our mission statement 'Dream, Believe, Shine!'

'It’s such a crucial stage of their life'

This half term, our children have been captivated by the wonders of new life and the fascinating life cycles happening right before their eyes. 🐛🦋🐸🐣

Nursery have loved watching their caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies before releasing them into their new home. Reception are continuing to observe their tadpoles as they gradually change into frogs, while Year Two have been carrying out daily checks on their eggs, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newly hatched chicks.

We’re also excited to be keeping one of the chicks to join our school chickens — and Year One have been doing a fantastic job caring for them all!

What an amazing hands-on way to learn about growth, change and caring for living things. 💚
